I originally ordered a 2022 and my order was converted to a 2023. With the new model year, they made the mobile charger an option instead of including with every vehicle. I just took delivery and I didn't receive a mobile charger (it's an ER model so I will eventually get a CSP) but I was curious on the experience of others who went through the model year change over. I looked at the window sticker and saw that the mobile charger was not listed separately, so I'm not sure if the dealership needed to add it to the order or what. I know that the $8,500 given only included the increase in the base MSRP and the ER package and doesn't seem to account for the added $500 option for the mobile charger. Right now I'll need to rely on chargers at some nearby dealerships until I can get my home charging situation sorted out.

Was it listed separately on YOUR window sticker?

Hence the reason the OP doesn't have one.

Still waiting to hear back from the dealer, but I'm guessing I'll need to do something separately. I'm not sure what happens on their end during the changeover, but I would have assumed that it would default to including something that was standard equipment if it becomes optional the following MY. It's still irritating that even though Ford said they we're going to honor original pricing for 2022 orders converted to 2023 they clearly weren't accounting for standard features being removed or made optional.

In my experience thus far, your $500 would be better spent on another charger. The ford mobile charger has failed on my already, got it repaired. Now it’s stuck charging in a constant de-rated mode. Time to take it back again…

Others are reporting issues with FMC.

OP, get a COTS solution with a J1772 and 14-50 plug until the FCSP can be installed.

I just checked my 2023 window sticker and it also has a separate $500 charge for the “mobile cord”. Based on this being itemised separately, I assume you could claim it as part of the 30% credit on charging infrastructure?

Mobile charger is not included on 2023 models and it is a $500 option. No price protection on it sorry.

Edit: There are many better chargers available for less...

Pick up my 23 lariat ER today which was originally a 22 order converted to 23. Did not get a mobile charger and didn’t have it listed as a line item on the window sticker so was not charged the $500.

there was some confusion at the dealership as to which charger would be included, but I believe I was both the first 23 and ER model sold at this specific dealer.

would be nice to have a mobile charger today, but based on what I’ve read here. Seems like there’s better after market options that the Ford mobile charger.

Don't stress not having the Ford mobile charger. It's just not very good or reliable, especially at $500. The Tesla one is excellent with swappable plug options, although you'll have to buy an adapter (Lectron or TeslaTap being best).

If you know you'll only be plugging into a NEMA 14-50 outlet most or all the time or leaving it connected to one, the Lectron NMA 14-50 to J1772 mobile charge cord is $318 on Amazon. It charges at 32 AMPs (7.6kW max) and has a 21ft cord length. I know someone who has one of these for their eTron and says it works great.
