Like many this week, been very cold here and brought freezing rain, about 1/2". Woke up this morning to a neighbor knocking on my door with bad news... We live in a hill, and the the Tesla Y belonging to a neighbor at the very top, slid overnight (while parked), bumped into his Avalanche, which then slid down the hill itself and into my Lightning, parked in my driveway.

Nooooooooooooo. We live in the PNW and got hit hard too. Work up with nightmares thinking about this scenario. Sorry to see this, but hopefully they can get it all corrected for you soon

Woke up one day years ago to find our car in the street after an ice storm.

Oh noooo. Yikes, yeah that's very unfortunate, I'm sorry to see that happened to you. Welp, beds gotta come off and a new bedside needs to be riveted on.

Oh that stinks. Did the right rear suspension take a hit also? Wheel looks a bit wonky. Those lightning letters on the bed are a lot tougher than I thought......

So sorry!! Yes that ice on a hill is disaster waiting to happen. I hope you get that fixed with no issues.

I decided to back up my Lightning from the bottom of the driveway to 3/4 up the driveway and hop out, to chip away ice at the bottom where it was parked to level things out. Around 30 seconds after I parked and was chipping ice away, I heard something and saw my Lightning sliding down the driveway towards me. It only went 5 feet towards me, but was an eye opener.

Just had quite a spirited conversation at Christmas about sliding cars in the Willamette Valley, there were at least 3 different stories coming from that recent storm. Most happened when just after the driver closed the door, and all were ICE vehicles. Locking just the back 2 wheels only has 1/2 the stopping capacity you used when you stopped whether it is an EV or ICE.
