Did you tell Google Maps on your phone that you have an EV? I don’t know if it’s necessary, but try going into your Maps settings and set it so it knows which electric vehicle you have.
Yep

Spent the day yesterday talking with Ford again about AA EV route planning. Bottom line, I won't bore with all the holds and bum steers, is that at the end of the day I was promised a push of the update that enabled EV routing in AA so I made sure automatic updates was enabled. It didn't happen. I called again this morning and was told that Ford cannot push updates and I should see my dealer.

Everyone I talked to was super polite and I hope I was as well but AA is so superior to the Ford route planning that I find myself switching back and forth which is awkward at best and dangerous at worst. From what I've seen the truck can do it but Ford can't.... yet.

Ford's updates are hit and miss at best. It may be hey did Mark you to push the update, but that might take time to get to the right people. FWIW, I always seem to get updates on Thursday afternoon. Why? Ask Ford. for that matter I think Ford quietly pushes updates without notifications at times, but can't prove it.

As for the dealer, they should have the equipment to push the update. So you probably need to be leaning on them hard to get you that update. Not saying, stop nagging Ford, just that the.dealer has a vested interest in keeping you happy, and they have some ability as well

Yeah, I have an appointment to get the recall done, Friday the 13th. I'll go by and add this prior to that. I don't want to burn the bridge but I'm not hopeful, we'll see.

Well I think the dealer bricked my truck doing the apim update it's been there since last Wednesday they said they don't know what's wrong. They can't get the update to finish. But they told me they were putting a new 12-volt battery in it I think somebody did the update without putting the battery maintainer on it now they're saying they're going to have to call Ford engineering tomorrow. Great

Sorry to hear that. So many lazy techs that think they know more than they do and/or don't want to learn anything new.

No don’t do that. They spent a ton of customer good will and who knows how much in $.$$ for him to learn that lesson. He’s not likely going to make that mistake again.

Every APIM update I've done was over USB with the truck running so wouldn't think it'd be a 12v issue. Still a good idea to have a good power source but shouldn't have broken anything with that one.

Give him a glowing discharge recommendation to go work for GM, sick of coddling incompetence
