In the AM, EA was a breeze with 12 of 12 operational stalls and 178kw charge rate. On the return leg, 6 of 12 chargers were offline, and there was a line of 12 people. But at 8% I was stuck. Was only feeding 70kw too, so it took me a full hour to get enough to get over the hill to Yermo's Tesla charger.
That sucks. When I was there a month or so ago, one stall was down and when I arrived there were two idle chargers. I charged from 34 - 90 % for 73 KWH in 44 minutes for an average of 99.55 W rate and it started a little over 180 KW. Of course it slowed way down at 80%. Yes, it would be VERY nice if the Baker SuperCharger was opened up to us.

I also changed my plan on my desert trip, but I knew about the change two days before the trip. I had planned on using the EA charger at Fenner (on I-40), but in my bad timing, EA took that station down to replace the chargers two days before my trip. The change was to drive into Needles to charge at a SuperCharger. Cheapest price I have paid for fast charging too - $0.26 / KWH with a Tesla subscription.

That's also my observation - Tesla has FAR better availability and is always less expensive (comparing non-subscription prices). I did pay for an EA subscription for that one charge session (yes it paid for itself), but cancelled after the trip. I do use Tesla enough that I so far am maintaining a Tesla subscription.

I had this in a separate thread but forgot about this main one. Lots of mulch. I don't have a pic but thought I did but about a week after I got it we installed a couple arborvitae's as well and they were a good size.

I didn't take any pictures, but I crew on a professional fireworks crew. Of course last Friday we had a show. Besides carrying a bunch of stuff in the bed - tools, compressed air system, EZ-Up shade, chairs, this year I also was also able to supply 120V power to the table where lunch and dinner would be served. The person doing the food had 20 pounds of pulled pork in a crock pot, and a heating tray plugged into one circuit in the bed. The compressed air system was plugged into the other one. There was also a charger for a hand took. Did the job very well.

and mucking out a flooded house. Truck charged all teams batteries throughout the day and kept drinks and wet towels ice cold in my fridge all day.

Great photo. I remember the fall of ‘73 when Dad loaded up the Olds and latched up a cargo trailer & he & Mom hauled us 3 kids north. Dropped me at Evergreen, younger sister at UW and older sis at Western. Crazy investment in us that we only realized decades later. Bravo.

Used our Lightning to evacuate for Hurricane Milton almost a year ago. We evacuated to our remote cabin in the middle of Florida.

Our house, just south of Tampa, took a direct hit as the eye passed over the house. Picture of our $28,000 pool cage damage attached. Insurance denied the claim because we didn’t have a pool cage addendum.

We lost power at the cabin after the hurricane and used the truck to power the cabin for 3 days.

On the way back to the house we loaded up gas generators etc to lend to neighbors and relatives who were without power.

When we arrived back home power was just restored but gas stations were dry. lines at the few gas stations that has gas were very long. We were glad we had an EV.
