Brian from Ford responded on the other PT thread (a different version number but the same package). See below for what happened and why this should be the last time:Slightly annoying, but slowly becoming more and more annoying every time it happens.
I only charge at one location, home, so I can only imagine how more annoying it is for people with multiple charge locations to have to redo them.
They ought to require programmers to actually USE the things they are updating, then maybe they'd have a clue?
Hi folks,
Jumping in here because I know how annoying it is to hop in the truck and realize your charge settings have vanished. I grabbed some time with the engineering team to understand what has happened.
Here is the lowdown:
The powertrain update is doing some housekeeping behind the scenes to make your stored settings more resilient during future updates. The catch? The system can clear current settings in the process. I know it’s a hassle to set them back up (it’s definitely not my favorite hobby either), but the good news is that once you do the team has said that they shouldn't be affected by future updates.
The update is rolling out now to 2022/2023 trucks with a version for 2024s coming in the future.
Thanks for bearing with us!
