Window speed is different because the front and rear windows have different regulators/motors. The front ones are smarter and have the two stage buttons for auto up or down. The rear ones have the less expensive simpler on/off manual motor/regulators.
The Platinum trucks have the fancier motors on all four windows.

the fancier ones track the position of the window and have the pinch protection. The other ones don’t have pinch protection so you have to manually hold the button to raise and lower them as a safety feature / you would let go of the button if your kid gets pinched.

same on most cars that only have the auto up/down on the front windows. It’s a cost saving thing. Hence the platinum trucks have it on all windows since that’s a more baller package.
Are you saying the plat. Trucks have auto up down windows in the rear as well?? I’ve never heard that before. If so that’s quite interesting.

I’ve not seen that but does not mean it ain’t true! If that is the case one could possibly upgrade the rear windows to auto up down which would be cool.

I got this update a few days ago and instead of fixing the bounce back issue, it made it happen. Thanks Ford.
I've had to do the reprogramming sequence several times in the past year but haven't had a problem for a few months.
So today I had to do the up-down 3x to fix it since the update f'ed it up.

Bought my truck in march. Had a couple OTA updates then this one attempted to go through in April but something happened and it was unable to complete. That was the last OTA update I’ve gotten. I’m hoping my truck can still receive updates. I’ve tried calling and they don’t seem to “fix” anything. Attempted twice to have the dealer look at it but they have cancelled for various reasons. I dunno.

An update failing will not prevent the same or other updates from being resent.

I get that but why would It fail to begin with and then have no subsequent updates thereafter. Is it just a coincidence that the last one pushed out failed and then there just hasn’t been any in the 3+ months afterwards? I hope so.

I can check to see the error code of why it failed if you message me the VIN, but even if the error code is something we can make sense of, there is nothing you can do but wait for it to be resent.
