as a consumer, I would suggest that any new vehicle purchase comes with the assumed Manufacturers Full Warranty, from the date of PURCHASE, unless told otherwise BEFORE the sale, and/or within a signed contract stating otherwise.

Stephen,

Sometimes dealers screw up and give wrong information unknowingly. If you catch it immediately you have a chance to correct it. But 2+ years later unfortunately it’s almost impossible to rectify.

When I bought my demo I wasn’t told about the warranty start date. I did ask when I was signing the paperwork and I was told it started. 6 months prior to my sale, so I knew it at the beginning. I was willing to accept it because of the discount the dealer gave me.

You are in a different position. My advice is to Continue to contact Ford customer service. They are the only ones that can offer you a goodwill extension on your official factory warranty. The dealer doesn’t have the ability to do anything at this point.

I understand your frustration..

I bought my mannequin in 2024. Warranty starts when it is put in service. That's when it's sold/registered, or when it becomes a dealer demo. In my case it only had 14 months of warranty left. I bought a PremiumCare Ford warranty before the 3/36 ran out. Also my truck was never registered, so it was technically "new" when I bought it (which meant I got the tax credit).

I would look into buying the PremiumCare warranty. I know at one time they had a grace period beyond 3/36 to buy it.
