2022 Ford F150 Lightning XLT
I have ~20k miles on my 2022 Lightning XLT SR.
Still love the truck, but with the news of the Flash coming, I'm excited at the prospect of being able to upgrade to something with more range.
It's hard to gauge resale value - any estimates on what my XLT will be worth, now and in a year or so?

Being a first week 23 build ive really stopped thinking about this as its very painful... In your case you should be in decent shape by the time the Flash is available. Im no expert but i would think about 50-60% of MSRP for trade (hopefully better but with all the price changes these things are hard to judge).

Is that your guess or a number you've actually seen? Because if anyone here wants to sell me an XLT for $35k I have cash in hand. And I already own one.
Just a guess.

I am in the process of trying to sell my 2022 XLT 311A with 13k miles. Dealership offered me 40k, carmax offered me 47K, and the best offer I have from Facebook market place is 51K. I have a family friend who owns a used car dealership and he says he thinks it would go for 57K so we gave it o him to try and sell it in the meantime as we wait for the title to arrive.

I suspect the used price of the XLT to increase due to the dealer stock orders being cancelled and given the limited amount of XLTs available compared to the demand. But I would happily sell it for anything above 55k

New 2024 XLT is $57,495 - $7500 EVTC = $49,995 for a new one with full mfr warranty, new heat pump, etc.; if I were considering a used one, I’m afraid I’d want to pay 10-20% below the price of a new one, at least! =>$45k Used Retail, $40k trade-in.

Yeah but to get a 2024 you would probably be waiting over 10 months. Some people don't want to wait or need the truck right now that's why they're paying the premium

Black Book should be pretty accurate, for the 22 XLT 311A with 13k miles, they say it's a $48k truck with retail ranges from $41k (rough) to $56k (extra clean), and dealer trade in values from 36 (rough) to 47 (clean)

I believe it would be more like 10 weeks than 10 months. Those days are over.

Not everyone qualifies for the $7500 (well, not sure what Ford is doing with the lease loophole).

EVs depreciate like phones and laptops, with extreme prejudice. Would you buy a used EV? Almost everyone who wants an EV only wants a new one. Used Teslas are a dime a dozen.

They were certainly hot during COVID. Sold our MYLR in Sept '22 after one year and 8k miles to a Kia dealer for 7k more than we paid for it. I don't know what they were thinking. Pretty sure they still had it when tesla slashed the price and the value dropped like a rock.

Two months ago our '23 Ioniq 5 was totaled. Ran it through Carvana before Traveler's totaled it and was shocked at how low the offer was. Thankfully Traveler's treated us right and Paid KBB private party. Needless to say we leased the replacement.

I don't have good feeling about the Lightning value. May try to get into a '24 after the first of the year but won't do it if I can't get high 60s for our loaded Lariat ER.
