is this based on time of the day/day of the week at those locations? or they are set like that all the time?

p.s. I agree with you that it will never happen. I think in U.S. EVs will get on the road faster than chargers so congestion at the chargers will likely be more of a problem than inability to derate.

Yep. Ford probably got a complaint from the International Union of Thieves about the number of bolts they had to remove in a dark parking lot. Just like what they heard when they designed the easy tail gate hack and easy two screws removal to get at those $5,000 taillights.

On the other hand, maybe they were trying to avoid a Pinto situation and hoped the 8 bolts would shear off in a major collision so the battery detached and departed the truck before catching on fire?
