I have a 22 and yesterday I got the update with WAL in the description. Not sure why they would update the language on for 23s, but this is Ford we're talking about.

Not sure if it matters but I drove my truck yesterday for the first time in two weeks. Maybe the original one had been queued up for awhile and Ford didn't pull it.

I got this update tonight 23' XLT standard range. I tried to backdoor WAL via Forscan.... No dice lol the button is added but won't toggle. Wishful thinking on my part but since I had it all pulled up I did add 50/50 side cameras and got rid of the full screen box on the cameras in motion so not a complete loss I guess

So there is definitely no BCM hidden in there. Did you not get a BCM a couple months back noted as a Frunk update? Maybe they'll have a proper WAL release soon that includes a BCM and the APIM switches.

Yeah I got the Frunk update I'm imagining it's a hardware issue with the lesser models (Pro/XLT) not a Forscan thing. I've added lane centering/adaptive cruise control with the radar module and some wiring and Forscan I'll be tracking if anyone gets it to work for the broke boi models

I would be curious as to whether any of you did anything special to your truck before you got this update?

(Meaning, drive it more, leave it on for an extended time, charge your 12v....etc)

Seems updates follow no particular rhyme nor reason, I'm just wondering...

I'm envious of everyone getting updates. Last one I got was back in December for radio presets or something. I keep getting the icon that shows an update, but then when I go to check what it is it just shows that same radio update. I still don't have the update that shows the battery percentage on the dashboard, don't have the ones for google maps integration, I think I've only gotten three total since I got the truck three years ago.

My truck sat for two weeks without being driven, not on a charger, and the first day I drove it two days ago I got the update.

This was my 17th update. I do not have to do anything special to receive them. I do have a SR Pro and I have much fewer things to be updated ...

Yeah truck has to be started in order to phone home and see if it's the lucky winner. If it's just sitting idle, it'll never pull an update.

And just like that...24 hours later the beeps are now back to what they were before. So strange.

Strange beep tones often happen when an update has been partially installed. Hopefully the process is all finished now.
