Great post. People make up names without understanding there are multiple chargers. In addition, there is the Ford Connected Charge Station (48amps) and the Ford Mobile Charger (32 or 30amps depending on the vehicle it came with).

None except the commercial version are able to be locked out for others.

Another reason for people to consider INTELLIGENT chargers from other companies, which often can easily be set to not provide a charge.
Interestingly, the Ford Connected Charge Station can be locked, unlike the FCSP.

I thought the FCSP was considered a smart station. My question was more about the capability of locking a station.
It should be smart enough to have that functionality but they didn’t implement it. Go Ford!
Sadly, @Ford Motor Company needs to take time with one of the developers (before they are laid off) to remove or fully enable this functionality as found in Fordpass which has been useless since day one.

To see the following go to:
Fordpass, Energy, Charge Station, three dashes (Manage Charge Station), scroll to the bottom of the screen, a useless function, "Station Sharing", click it and it tells you to do something that you CAN NOT DO! SMH!

My charger is outside my house. Is there a way to at least lock to prevent usage by someone while i am not at home?
I have mine installed on the back of the house where I normally park the truck. I haven't had a problem and overall I think charge theft is rare. I have heard of something like two reports in the past couple of years of people stealing a charge from someone's home.

That said, the most expedient solution would be to lock the charge plug with a physical lock -- for example, a locking box or charger holder.

Hum... so you are saying setting it up in the app was just to enable stats? I could have just plugged it after installation and it would charge the truck?
Correct. In fact, I did just this. The first FCSP that I got had a bad WiFi module, and could not be set up in the ChargeStationPro app or FordPass. The electrician installed it and flipped the breaker on, and it would charge the truck.

The WiFi connection is for downloading firmware updates, adjusting the charger power, and sending charging statistics to FordPass. In theory, the WiFi connection can used to to set up access control to the charger, but it appears that either Siemens or Ford hasn't implemented that feature.

I thought the FCSP was considered a smart station. My question was more about the capability of locking a station.
Ford considers it a smart station. Compared to 3rd-party smart stations, it's pretty dumb: it reports statistics via FordPass, but that's literally the only "smart" feature.

I remembered that when I initially set mine up, so I thought nobody else could use it unless I enabled sharing! I guess that’s what happens when you ass/u/me!

Nobody has stolen the few cents worth of electricity my FCSP (whose plug is in my driveway) can deliver when I'm not looking...I'd be more worried some one would steal the CCS1 cable and plug, worth a lot more than the kWhs at 14 cents a kWh peak cost.

Trip the breaker. I assume it's on its own breaker, correct?
I do this at my cottage. That way no one can charge while I'll away.
