Uninstall from the "software menu"

when it reboots, use the custom URL:

installer.comma.ai/BluePilotDev/staging-3.0

If it hangs at the boot logo, then power cycle and tap the screen during boot up until it asks if you want to factory reset. Choose yes and repeat the install.

Did the update. Had to do it twice as you said. Tried to turn on experimental mode but it’s greyed out.

No joy. It’s greyed out. Also is this thing just not going to work in the summer? It’s 100 today in LA but it’s o. The windshield. So it’s always going to be really hot.

Lots and lots of guys having issues with overheating lately. I wonder if Comma got a bad batch of fans or something. You're the 4th one this week having issues. It should work fine, I use it in the Houston summers where the ambient gets over 102 for weeks at a time.

I've heard rumors the overheating might be software related, I'm going to go do some research.

Mine did come back on. I did not know it had a fan. I hung a microfiber over it to keep the sun off it. Can you link the easy removable mount for it you talked about in the video. I need something like that. Also even with truck off I can’t turn on that setting. It’s still greyed out.

I looked at both of those. Does nobody just make these and I can just buy it ready to go? I never got into the 3D printer thing. I love tech but for whatever reason it’s just not something I had interest in.

Hmm, that should let you toggle long control On. The truck has to be completely off, not in accessory mode.

That would be awesome! Can you recommend some 3M tape like the stuff that comes with the comma mounts? I’d rather use that than glue on my glass. If you are able to glue whatever it says together that would be great otherwise I can but I’m glad to pay you to do it. lol. Just let me know how much etc. I can Venmo or PayPal you. Which is that short little usbc cable that you are using in the mount and I’ll at least order that.

I turned truck off but the RAP was still on since I had not opened the door. Maybe that was the issue?

Very likely could be. Comma uses the power to the rear radar modules as the "vehicle is on" signal.
