If you're like me, you'll agree that a stock F150 Lightning has too way too many audible warnings. This thread catalogs the different methods I've used to turn them off, sorted by overall annoyingness. Hopefully it's useful to someone!

Note that many of these noises are federally mandated, and/or genuinely important for safety. Please use good judgement when modifying your vehicle.

Things I've done:
  • Disable frunk beep. This requires unplugging the frunk speaker. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdWVnZ5vNgM
  • Disable backup beeper. This also disables the low-speed pedestrian noise, so please be careful with this one. These noises are federally mandated, and you will be ridin' dirty without them. You'll need to install the megaohm speaker delete kit: https://www.megaohmmotorsports.com/product/ford-psbk-ece
  • Disable key-in chime. FORSCAN Code IPC 720-02-01 xx*x xxxx xx-- (subtract 8 from current value (if E change to 6))
  • Disable triple chime on vehicle startup. FORSCAN Code IPC 720-01-02 xxxx x2xx
  • Disable door ajar chime. FORSCAN Code IPC 720-01-02 xx0x xxxx
  • Disable seatbelt chimes. This can be done via a series of button presses and seatbelt clicks. Again, please do not ride dirty. See here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcMErUaI3Cg
  • Disable "check rear seats" warning. This can be done via the touchscreen: Settings > Vehicle > Rear Occupant Alert
  • BONUS: IPC quick boot. This disables the annoying (albeit inaudible) Ford advertisement that takes over your screen when the vehicle boots. IPC 720-07-01 xxxx xxxx 2xxx

Things I haven't done, but are theoretically possible:
  • Disable double honk if you get out of the truck while it's running and bring your key with you. Mine actually never did this so I didn't bother with it. FORSCAN Code BCM 726-41-02 xxx0 xxxx xxxx
  • Disable parking sensors. This can be done via the touchscreen, although it is a useful tool depending on where you park. One of the few dings that I left on.
  • Disable power liftgate chime. I don't have a power liftgate, so I skipped it.

Things I still haven't figured out how to do:
  • Disable "Rear sensor blocked" chime (yes, I know when my liftgate is down, Ford!).
  • Disable "No key detected" chime
  • Disable chime on lane keeping cancellation.
  • Disable "transmission is not in park" chime when you open the door without having shifted into park.
  • Disable animation on power down.

I'll update this post as I find solutions to the above noises, or if I discover other chimes that need to be silenced. Again, I hope this is useful to someone-- None of this is new information, but maybe I've saved you some time by not having to search for it.
I installed the megaohm speaker delete kit and everything was working perfectly this past year and all of a sudden the backup beeper is back!! The frunk is still disabled so how do I get the backup speaker to be quiet again before my neighbors kill me :( What happened? Did a software update restore it's function? Help, please :)

I’ve removed my ignition and key in chime sounds, but at startup and shitdown, I still have a single beep. Believe that beep was always there. It sounds like a computer processor beep…does anyone else have this? Any way to remove it?

I confirm that I have the single beep at startup after disabling the Seat Belt chime on vehicle startup, which I think is aka key-in chime.

I don't know anything about any shitdowns.

Definitely prefer my truck to warn me about any upcoming shitdowns

Am I crazy or did they make it harder to disable the seat belt chime in the 2024 flashes? I've tried over 20 times now (worked first try in my original 2023 PRO). And I have tried multiple ways (what I did on my 23 pro, what the on screen manual says to do, what someone said to do for MY 24) but none of them seem to actually disable the chime.

Are you doing the FORScan mods?

Disable Seat Belt chime on vehicle startup. The truck will chime 4 times if you press Start with the seat belt disconnected. This is the US seat belt strategy. You can change to the European seat belt strategy which waits until the vehicle is in motion to chime.
IPC 720-01-02 xxxx x2--

Disable Seat Belt Reminder:
IPC 720-01-01 xxxx xx0x xx--
This can also be done on a per-seat basis via instructions in Owner’s Manual (link)

Using the steps in this video finally did the trick for me.

Looks like you use forscan. So to correct you on the ped speaker/backup you can use forscan to disable it the bypass kit I would say is an option if a person does not want to use forscan. (Just trying to keep the options accurate)

Saving this threat to come back to.....but, for now...

Has anyone tried accessing the speakers, and just muffling them a little bit so they're quieter?

We do this for some of our kids' toys over the years, where we would just put a layer of normal scotch tape over the speaker holes to muffle the noise a little bit and make them quieter (side note, who TF designs kids toys to always have the switch go from Off -> quietest -> loudest? Kids don't have the dexterity for that, that always ends up on loudest!).

K back on topic...but if I get to my truck's backup speaker, for those that have done this, would it be possible to just muffle it somehow with something rudimentary like tape, some cloth held in place, etc.?

Replying to myself, as I found a post here on the forum where someone shows the location of the speaker!

You guys can check the links in my signature for a bypass on the external speaker. We also have a frunk bypass as well in the works since Ford no longer lets you just unplug it like the original method I discovered and did a write up on.

on 24's and 25's - its 4 times buckle/unbuckle not 3. Set Parking brake, no seatbelts, doors closed, off. Then turn on, once on if sitting in drivers seat and removing chime for passenger, buckle drivers seatbelt. 10 seconds after the light goes out start your clicking and unclicking. The bealt icon will blink a few times.

I have your Megaohm for my reverse, works great. I did unplug my brand new 2025 Lariat frunk speaker and have had zero issues though? No errors.

The one that TICKS ME OFF is the one that honks the horn twice when I step out of the truck. Let's say I pull up to the gas station and step out to throw some trash in the trash can. Truck honks loudly which draws a lot of attention. In some situations people think I'm intentionally honking at them and in today's environment you don't want the wrong person getting angry. This "feature" is SO annoying. Ugh...

Same feature existed on my 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie. We begged Ram for over a year to give us a software update to allow that to be toggled on or off and they never did.

Is there ANY way to remove this from my Lightning? Other than leaving the key inside the truck obviously...

There should be a toggle in your sync screen to shut this off.
