yeah I don't have the comma power connected since I already have a dash cam and will probably take the comma with me. Only downside to not using it is some of the settings can only be changed when the truck is off. Fine if you're taking the comma in with you though but can't change anything on the go.Just know you will need additional adapters to make the breakout work connected directly to the comma harness box. You may be able to get away without adding anything if you don't use the comma power, just be mindful of how much strain you are putting on the USB C connectors.
I have been testing some adapters and cables to see what plays the nicest with most installs. It seems a super short USB C male to male may be the answer.
