Stick to Rotary Shift Knob Conversion w/ 3D Printed Rotary Shifter Holder

I absolutely LOVE the final result of the rotary shift conversion in my 24 Lariat! I've seen a few different variations of this mod including cutting a hole in the dash and mounting it next to the steering wheel. I was planning on going that route but had trouble building the wiring harness. At the end of the day I'm glad I did because what I have now looks like just as OE as the dash mount, I still gain use of the workspace when in gear, the truck could be put back to original quickly and easily, the install literally too less than 20 minutes!! The first photo of the knob installed is in the raw finish how it arrives to you. I ended up hitting mine with a few coats of filler primer, doing a little sanding, and a final coat of trim black just to help it "blend in" a little. But I'm OCD like that. It totally looks good enough to run as-is.

Chances are good you will not need to paint your tub. I would venture to say he did not paint his.

Mine came in looking highly finished and blended right out in.

What is yours made out of? I chose ABS for mine. I’ve not gotten it yet to see how it really looks.

Just trying to do a little planning before I pull the trigger. There is another person selling a conversion mount on Etsy now but with a cup holder instead.

Thanks for posting this, new to me. Looks like a great solution. And reasonable price considering other ETSY sellers are asking $30 for just magnetic phone mount without charger for this coin holder spot.

That is super clean looking! I have the brake controller and 15 inch screen unfortunately.
