You are plugged in correctly, the black port (2nd from bottom) on the IPMA. I am blown away that you have two harnessess and multiple cables and can't solve the issue. It is possible you have a C3X with a bad USB port, it has happened once before.

If your have plenty of limit on your credit card, I would just order a new C3X and see if the issue is sovled. If it is do a return on the bad one, they have a pretty easy 30 day return policy (just cost $10 in shipping, it's worth $10 not to deal with the warranty department). If you don't want to order a second one for testing, then we can try to find someone close to you that you could connect theirs to your truck (and yours in their truck).

I am very confused, maybe this is the reason for my errors. I followed your video, in the video you mentioned the first plug. the grey one as being the correct plug. So that is the plug mine is plugged into.

Ya,

I wish i would have caught that, i watched it up to that step and then stopped, figured i was done.. weirdly it drove just fine with it plugged into the grey plug, just the comma didn't work.

Now i might be in a pickle. I just went and switched it to the 2nd plug, the black plug and now i get a million boot errors and the truck won't start, stuck in park in the garage. I just disconnected the battery, because right now the truck is stuck in the garage blocking it from closing...
Sigh..
Hope reconnecting the battery fixes things "fingers crossed", i have not purchased forscan yet to be able to clear anything if that is the fix.

Did you swap it while the truck was on? The comma harness should just act as a passthrough without open pilot booting. I don't see how swapping them would cause issues. But AJZ may be more familiar.

You might see how quickly you can get one of these delivered https://a.co/d/ejjBWOB.

I disconnected the negative on the battery every time i have unplugged those wires. It was when i connected the battery back to the truck and tried to boot it that it had all the errors.

Are you 100% sure the harness's are plugged in all the way? If they are and you are still getting errors, you can try removing the harness and reverting back to stock to see if the errors go away.

If you are able to post the errors, that would be helpful as well.

I think you shorted your comma harness box. There were a few MachE users who did the same thing. This is exactly why I made a Q4 specific video:

I just disconnected the comma harness and plugged everything back to stock. Reconnected the battery and I'm not getting a million errors anymore, but I'm getting service high voltage fault and pull over soon warning. I am able to put the truck in gear and drive it now, but the error is still there. I just drove it around the block and it drove like normal and plugged it into the charger and its charging just fine. Hopefully its just a residual error needs cleared.

How did i do that? did it happen when plugged into the wrong plug? All the errors occurred when i plugged it into the 2nd plug, the black plug and connected the battery back to the truck. Just FYI i was expecting no errors, because i have Tony's adapter inline with the USB cable.

I have been needing to figure out what all i need to get for forscan, just not bought it, because if i recall it only works on windows and i only have macbook laptop.

I would be cautious with that. If you can find a way to clear the errors, that would be the safest option. It may possibly reset the codes once it rechecks everything, but it could also cause the truck not to start again.

You may be able to do a VM to run windows. I have been away from mac os for a long time, but I think some of their virtual machine software lets you connect to the physical USB ports.

The second port isn’t on the canbus. So no errors, but the box got Fried. Then when you plugged a fried canbus communicator into a port with canbus…. Errors galore.

forscan runs fine in a VM, but FDRS will only run on native windows.

Man,

That sucks, hopefully that is the only thing that is damaged if that is the case.

I wish i had someone in Florida to help me clear the codes...

You only need a VM for Forscan. Download UTM and track down a windows 10 installer disc on the webs.

You can download it directly from Microsoft. Just grab media creation tool and select "ISO" when you are going through the program.

I wouldnt worry about the truck too much. CAN is low voltage, so you likely just damaged the harness box sending too much power through it.

You can ignore the Instructions, but this page includes both links to 10/11.You dont need a key.

Yea, when he plugged into the grey plug, he sent 12+ and 12- through several connectors on the harness box meant for canbus traffic. he also sent ground to a few spots expecting 12+
