My frunk always locked securely before this update. WAL not received, paak, no, blue cruise, no even though I have a Lariat. But I did get this unnecessary update.
Hopefully in quick succession you'll get BC-1.4, I got mine the day after this one.

Guess I misread his post. Thought the rate he was giving was for a supercharger (level 3) since he mentioned a tesla station. I can charge at 17kW since I have a 23 ER and fcsp set at 80 amps. Vast majority of 24+ max out at 48 amps, so about 10kW is the max speed you'll see on level 2

I got the update--now the frunk AND tailgate close when the truck is locked...about time. Now for the crazy part. On the first drive I heard a few quiet beeps and saw the passenger side heat go up to max and stayed there. I manually dropped it back down and it stayed. Dunno if it's a byproduct of the update but I hope it was the last time.

Anyone else having issues with this update? I have been trying for a week or so with no luck. Tried while charging or not charging via schedule, and pushing update manually. no luck. Any suggestions?

This Frunk OTA bricked my Lightning. It has been at the dealership since August 19th. Getting ready to initiate a buy back.
My suggestion, if you are happy with the way your Lightning is configured, turn off automatic updates.

Have you reached out to @Ford Motor Company for any assistance they might be able to lend?

Yes, when my Lightning bricked it was due to the failed frunk OTA. The attached immediately appeared on the screen. I have been getting the run around ever since I called. Ford just keeps calling the dealership servicedepartment. But my service writer is excellent. We talk every few days. And the conversation is always Ford told us to do this or that or replace this part. When Ford Customer Service calls me with an update, they tell me what i have already heard from my service writer. I don't think Ford Customer Service has ever talked to their technicians that are supposed to be helping the dealership mechanic fix the issues. I get the impression that Ford doesn't know how to fix my Lightning. And it is blatantly obvious that Ford doesn't care.

Wondered about this, I have a 48A charger, so I put the meter on it:
- on the AC side it is pulling 47A at exactly 240V thats 11,280W
- on the DC side it is 10.5kW output meaning I am currently heating my shop with a 780W electric heater - apparently.
Maybe I should check the power factor on the charger...damn got me thinking about this now...

There is quite a bit of heat being generated by the AC/DC on board inverters high power transistors

yeah ,it is heat.
after it comes up to temperature the DC cord is 35C (95F) based on a laser-temp-gun reading.

my main solar battery has twin 4/0 welding cables on each side.
takes a lot to heat those up, but it happens sometimes.
In Canada, most of the time excess heat is a benefit !!
Not so much today 29C /84F but Fall is coming...soon.

Maybe DM @rugedraw to see if he can take a peek at what's been done. This is largely why I bought a Mongoose cable. I'd rather pay the $50 fee to boot up FDRS and fix it myself than hassle with the dealership.

Typically when this happens, there is a procedure in FDRS under the BCM to release the vehicle from inhibit mode which only takes a few minutes to do. I find it hard to believe that between the dealer techs and Ford engineers, this has not been tried yet. Assuming the OTA somehow hard - bricked the BCM (this is highly unlikely), then swapping in a new BCM seems to be the obvious fix.
