Good Day All!

just a quick question. Does anyone have as many small issues coming up with the Lightning as I do? Like, the seat and steering wheel not adjusting when I start the truck. The seat belt alarm not sounding until you are almost 40 mph. Doors not unlocking when you grab the handle, even with the key fob in your pocket. The AM/ FM radio with poor reception. Backup sensors blocked after washing the truck. Having the truck in reverse, someone walks behind the truck and no alert sounds. These are a few of the problems I am having and I get the same answer when I take it to the dealer, “we tried to duplicate what you said with negative results.” I am getting very frustrated with the truck after dropping the 70k on a 2023 Lariat ER about 20 months ago.

Thanks In Advance
Tom

Have you double checked the settings regarding the seat & wheel adjustment in the Sync screen, I turned the feature off intentionally, but yours might have changed to off for "unknown" reasons.

Check your 12 volt and have a load test done, available usually for free at any auto parts store if you don't have the equipment.

Try a reboot - disconnect your 12 volt negative cable for 30 minutes and re-connect.

Yup. Weird, unexplainable, and sometimes unrepeatable things can happen when low-voltage batteries are weak/bad.

OP, hopefully it's just the 12v battery causing these issues.

A little over 10 months and 15K miles and have had no problems at all (other than three flat tires).
And that's why I bought an impact wrench on Black Friday for just under $60 and picked up a socket plus leather work gloves at Lowes. If I never need to use it, great! But if I ever need to use it, I'm set.

That is an amazing reason for buying an impact. I'll tell my wife it's so she can change the flat if I'm not around. She would actually change the flat (if it was a parking lot, not on side of road)

Now that you have mentioned it . . I have been meaning to to go through the act of Pulling at least one tire, with the jack etc. specifically because we have to use a certain spot to jack at and what it takes (frustration) to drop the spare..

My small but odd and frustrating issue is the windshield wipers.
They don’t immediately turn on, even when I put them on full power.
Sometimes it’s a minute or two down the road before they will start.
I am installing new wipers today to hopefully lubricate the surface and get better results.

That's definitely abnormal behavior. I'd try a 12V reset and if that doesn't fix it, definitely take it to the dealer.

I did a factory reset, or whatever its called, and it fixed my NAV issues. The only annoyance I have now is my podcast starting while i'm about 50 ft. from my truck. It should start when the door opens. First world problems but annoying AF.

Well I'm 5,000 miles into my ownership experience and I've already had my heater fail and need replacement and my home level 2 charge station failed and needed replacement. So I'm not off to a great start either.
