Still no update for me. I realized reading this thread that I'd never checked the FCSP using the Ford App (even though I had it connected).

When I did check it, I saw a "faulted" message. No LED indication on the FCSP or any problems with charging, so not sure exactly what was faulted.

I turned off the FCSP at the breaker for a couple of hours. Then I used the "Reset" option through the Charge Station -> Settings -> Setup and COnfiguration -> Reset option. Then I reconfigured the FCSP network and re-added to the Ford App.

The FCSP status, from the Ford App, now shows "Ready to Charge" (and has since I did this all 3-4 days ago). But still no update.

It's crazy to me that others are saying they've received multiple updates.

Not sure if you have a different menu than I do, but from the FORD app, -lightning bolt sysmbol-, Charge station, SETTINGS, Setup and Configuration, "Let's Go" opens the FCSP setup app, which is where the problem arises because I cannot connect to the FCSP even though it appears with the correct ID and PW.

So can't do any reset of the FCSP from the FORD app with my system.

That's the same menu hierarchy I have on iPhone (just to clarify).

I just did the same action, and the Ford App successfully launched, after prompting, the FCSP app, and I was able to log in.

Even with everything reset/reconnected I still get connection problems sometimes; sometimes takes 3 or 4 tries to first find the FCSP and then connect.

That's a lot less since I added the extra Wi-Fi mesh node on a shelf 3-4 feet from the FCSP. It used to have like 33% signal, but now it's 100% consistently.

I haven't plugged the truck in for 2-3 days, or more, figuring that would be plenty of time for an update to download. Guess not.

All of us who are now having the problem have been able to connect before.
I never had a connection problem with my 2.4g router-repeater about 20 feet away.
When I first tried to setup the FCSP back in 2024, it did have difficulty with 5g and the main house router, customer service suggested using 2.4g and placing a repeater closer - so I switched and was able to connect.

When they send out updates they seem to do it in batches, so maybe you haven't gotten it while some of us already have, and it screwed up our ability to connect?

I can't say for sure because I cannot access the FCSP to look at the software and firmware versions.

Before the problems I had been running fine since March 16, 2025 on Software ver.: 2.112.125:3.15:3.15:3.15:3.15

And since April 12, 2025 on Firmware ver.: 5.0.25

To err is human, to really screw up you need software?

Has anyone tried the reset procedure with the big red button? I'm loathe to do it if it's misbehaving like this...

I did that with mine last night. Powered it off at the breaker panel about 2100 last night. Turned the breaker back on about 1300 this afternoon and now at 1825, first I successfully pinged the FCSP from this laptop, then I attempted to connect with the Charge Station app. When it searches for the charge station, it finds it, but when I attempt to connect, it fails to connect. After that using the Ford App on the charging tab, I select Charge Station and then Insights and it successfully read prior charge sessions. Exactly as it was before the 16 hour power off.

A little while ago I powered her back up after being off for about 2 hours, this evening.

The -2 suffix has disappeared and the station ID is back to the original value, but I'm still unable to log into the FCSP.

Neither with the set-up app (Manage Station) function or the Ford App, Energy tab > {Charge Station} function will allow me to fully log into the FCSP system to view software version information.

Before I try a factory reset, I'm waiting on feedback from the experts.

I haven't tried that yet either...I'm pondering it though.

If I do it and lose all connection to my WiFi, then I'd be worse off I reckon.

I'm still on firmware version 5.3.8 (software version 2.500.34-ford.36+26-28), and my FCSP still can't be down-rated. So, Brian (@Ford Motor Company), is there any possibility that Ford could "downgrade" our FCSP firmware back to the firmware version we had before the update you announced in your OP post in this thread? The firmware update, even in its latest incarnation, which several other FCSP users and I have gotten, seems to have screwed the pooch. Is the loss of software derating just a temporary bug? Hardware-resetting the max charging rate by removing the FCSP face plate is probably not something the average owner should be doing. Restoring our previous firmware while Ford figures out where it went wrong in the firmware "upgrade" would seem like the best option, if possible. Given the irreplaceability of FCSPs, I don't think Ford should be beta-testing firmware updates on FCSP owners... or having us heat-stress our FCSPs in the sunny American Southwest by being unable to derate the charging current.

Edit_Update: By "previous version," I mean the firmware version shown in @TaxmanHog's post here: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...sion-2-500-34-ford-27-26-08.38672/post-728692. It was working fine for me before I got the "upgrade" Brian announced.

The issue here is that some of us - me included - have now lost ALL network connectivity. I sent a contact I have a message earlier, but have heard nothing yet :(

I finally remembered to try logging in and playing around with the settings tonight. I have very mixed results. I can see the station from the setup app, but it does not let me log in ( tried twice to make sure I didn't fat finger the pw ). So I have no idea which version I'm on.

However, in the FordPass app I actually let me save the charge rate. It hasn't let me do that in months. I plugged in, expecting to hit full 80A as usual. But it didn't. I set it to 40A and it's actually giving me 40A!
Ford F-150 Lightning FCSP Software Version 2.500.34-ford.27+26-08 1000014611

I have a Vue3 installed on my mains, when I compare to when both AC units are on (the first hump), it looks about right.

I can only guess that I got an update at some point. I can't remember the last time I was able to change the charge rate.

Just noticed that the Ford app, Ford's servers, and the FCSP firmware have other serious problems. The results reported below are for the previous version of the firmware that I referenced in post #130 for the month of July, 2026 (billed as 7/3 to 8/4/26 by CPS Energy).

Here's what my Ford app (v6.19, iOS) says was just my truck's electric usage for the month of July. A cool 1,505 kWh usage. This is from the Charging tab, Charge Station item, Insights, on the COST tab for a month's summary and presumably drawn from Ford's servers.
Ford F-150 Lightning FCSP Software Version 2.500.34-ford.27+26-08 IMG_1708

Here's what CPS Energy says was my entire electric usage for a 3400-sq-ft two-story home in 95°F+ weather during July (7/3 to 8/4/26) in San Antonio, TX. With CPS, the billing month (Aug) is the usage for the previous month, JULY, which totalled 1,084 kWh. So, Ford's accounting of my electric usage for charging my truck is totally insane (1,505 kWh for just the truck). @Ford Motor Company, the whole of FCSP behavior seems like a really egregious problem that needs to be addressed rather than ghosted.

Here's what the Charging History section on the Charging tab in the Ford app says was my truck's true electric usage for the month of July. A total of 37 kWh.
