What version of Fordpass and platform are you on ?

I'm on Android version 5.15.0 of Fordpass.

The format you show seems outdated.
Same as you, Android and 5.15.0. I believe that this is just a web view in the app pointing to a web page that the FCSP serves. My FCSP is the same software version and firmware version as this thread. Weird.

DO you have any display adjustments for accessibility on your mobile device?

The old generation of Fordpass was very intolerant to magnification and screen font sizes, I had enhanced my settings to give my weary old eyes a break, unfortunately when I did that certain fields and button magically disappeared, only way to get them to display was to restore the settings to default values.

Since then i have a newer device and now we have the new version, but I have not tested if those bugs were eliminated.

I don't. Everything is on normal/default settings. I have a Samsung Z Fold 5 but the UI pretty much looks the same whether the phone is opened or closed.

I adjusted the charging rate to 48 amps prior to plugging the truck into the FCSP.
Then plugged in, the rate of charge leveled out at 11.3 KW, I let this run for a while, the Fordpass app showed it's DC KW rate going into the battery as 10.4 KW ie. 92% of the AC rate, this is normal.

Then tried adjusting the rate on the fly while the charging session was still in process, the rate briefly increased a little then ramped back to 11.3 KW, then I paused {stopped} the session to make the rate adjustment once again to 80 amps, then resumed charging, it climbed back to 11.2 KW, at this point I decided to stop the charging session until I finished my daily afternoon walk.

Unplugged, waited 30 seconds for charging statistics to roll up to the servers.
Confirmed the FCSP sub app rate of charge was set to 80 amps, then plugged is again.
This seemed to work the rate was much higher but not quite the peak I usually see, likely it's a hair under 80 amps, as the yellow derating lamp was illuminated.

I'll retest Thursday, I rebooted the FCSP and confirmed that my 80 AMP setting is showing on the app, it should go back to full rate in the next session, this has been the case in the past.

So I tested mine again today because I had derated it down to 40A last few days to match my solar production (raining today, so barely any production) I had already started a charge so I cranked it up to 80A in the Ford pass app it showed it going up to 16.6KWH or so then dropped back down to around 8.8KWH??
So then, I set it to 79A and it seemed to hold that rate around the 16.6 kWh again so then I adjusted it back to 80A and it has held since then??
Very strange!

if I reboot, the FCSP I usually get +/- 18 KWH so this has me perplexed!

As measured through the Fordpass app, I've always seen a lower value around 16 to 17 kw even though my Emporia proves a higher rate around 18 kw, to me what you're seeing is normal.

My main point is that I was able to adjust it in the Ford pass app without rebooting the FCSP! Not quite able to get up to what I normally see in the app when I went up to 80 amp it ramped up and then came back down, but when I went to 79 amp it went up and stayed there even if it was a lower rate I did not reboot the FCSP like I have had to in the past??

Is there a yellow indicator light to the right of the FCSP that display?

I think the last time I tested derating & adjusting, then restoring my 80 amp preference, I experienced similar results (short an amp or so), eventually it clears up in a day or so,

Now that I have the latest android version of FP 5.17.0 this week, I'll tinker this Sunday when I do my weekly charging, hopefully it shows better response to adjustments.

I plan to only make changes to the value while unplugged, then plug in let it run for 30 minutes, unplug, make a change, plug in again continue measuring the reaction to the change.

Then I'll move to making changes in the middle of an active session to see if it responds reliably, last time I did the mid session changes it didn't comply for very long.

Yes there is a yellow light on the rightI thought it was usually white when I derated and was charging??

Nope, yellow is the proper indication when charging a less than maximum.

The numbers seem to be correct so maybe I’m only charging at 79A instead of 80A now?

Couple days ago I lowered my amperage settings to 48A, tonight I've plugged in and it's reflecting the yellow indicator to the right side of the blue charging indicator. FCSP continues to show the 48 amp setting, Fordpass active charging data is showing the lower KW rating.

Emporia confirms the lower rating as well, 10.2 KW to battery is ~92% of 11.1 KW grid energy due to conversion losses.

I will stop the session at 80% programmed stop, then unplug, collect statistics.
Update the rate to 64 amps plug in and see if that adjustment sticks.

I decided to try an "on the fly" rate adjustment while the session was nearing the 80% shut off point, I bumped the rate from 48A to 64A, the FCSP responded appropriately, though the measured values continued to be slightly less than the desired value, note this is consistent with the overall performance of my unit, ie., I've [NEVER] seen a perfect 80 amps or 19.2 KW output.

End of session to 80% a rise of ~12% from 68%: Interestingly the FCSP log was slightly higher than Emporia and as expected these two were higher than Fordpass which shows you net energy to the battery.

The Transitions from 48 to 64 amps, the change held up for the remaining duration.

The bump is the FCSP running briefly at 80 amp setting then rolling back to a slightly slower pace.

Then I unplugged the CCS1/J1772 connection, powered off the FCSP for a couple minutes, restarted it, waited a couple minutes, then plugged in again, now she's pushing near the normal value at 17.8 KW, note my monthly peak of 18.16 KW.

I'll conclude this test, confirm prior experiences and your observations that a reboot or waiting an overnight refresh is what it takes to get back to optimum rate of charging, it isn't perfect but at least we know what we need to do. IMHO, set it and forget it, what ever rate you settle on, leave it be and don't worry.

I just found it strange that if I changed the FCSP setting from the 40s up to the max 80 amp that it would briefly increase but then go back down so that is why I decided to go to 79 A and when I did that it held. I used to always leave it at 80 amp, but then I was paying for electricity as I have solar, but not enough to run it at 80 A. if I am home early enough in the day to utilize the excess solar (I am producing 12 or 13 kW and the house is using 1 or 2 kW and the power wall is already fully charged)I derate the FCSP to match my excess solar production rather than sending it back to the grid, I’d rather put it in my truck if needed. Hopefully that makes sense.

If it is cloudy or dark and I need to charge then I would set it to 80 amp.
