Someone with more knowledge on this will come along and tell you how, but I can tell you that I remember seeing there is a setting under cruise control to adjust that. IIRC, it's something to do with the truck's ability to adjust speed based on speed limit signs.I did an 1800 mile trip a couple years ago and came back with a strained muscle in my chest. Realized it was caused by this, trying to maintain constant pressure on the wheel so I don’t have to jerk it every minute. I have to be more cognizant this now and just jerk it every min instead of the constant pressure.
The thing that’s been pissing me off as of late, I’ll set cruise control to 75 then without warning it brakes to drop my speed to 65. Yes that’s the speed limit but flow of traffic is 75-80. It’s so dangerous to be suddenly braking on the freeway.
