On a recent trip with the Mach-E (which is weeks ahead on updates), several times my Trip 1 and Trip 2 displayed 0 efficiency at a stop. Now in short (0.2 mile) test drives, it resets every time. I am not sure what combination of events or conditions makes it not reset. Of course there is always a chance I am losing my mind. If I ever figure Out how to get into the mind of the machine, I will post here. Nothing random is ever random.
On my vehicles, I never reset Trip 2. Yet, last year both Trip 1 and Trip 2's efficiency reset.
In short, the only true way to track miles driven is with the odometer.
The only true way to track efficiency is by keeping track of charging, which eliminates regen.
None of the trip odometers can be trusted.
