How did you route the cable? Did you remove frunk tub, or just remove cover on drivers side?
I just got my NOCO Genius 5 in the mail today, going to see if I can route the battery side cable through to the charge door hinge without having to take anything apart. Planning on attaching thre rest of the charge unit on my level 2 charge cable so I can plug both in at the same time. I watched a few videos and while the removal of the charge door seems easy, with my luck, I'll break one too many tabs and have to buy a new door assembly, lol.

Best thing to do first is make sure you have your modules updated. There were updates over the last year that improved management of the 12v system.

Before I got my new EVSE, I had planned on installing a magcode port on the front bumper. You may wanna look into it yourself. I still might do it but it's just lower priority now.

Sorry for the delay answering.
With the frunk open I could reach in through the space under the lift strut and reach the charge port area, grab the wire and then steer it so not moving parts will impact it in the direction of the battery area, then gave it a little toss. Opened the battery compartment cover and reach in over to the right until I found the wire.

If your hands or arm don't fit, you could take off the plastic cover like when to top off the coolant and that might help.

Next to the hinge is a plastic area that has nothing behind it where you can drill a small hole - feel around when the frunk is open by reaching in through the area under the frunk support strut to be sure you have a clear area with no wires to impact.

Thanks for the update. I found that you can remove the charge port cover but this seems easier.

Yes, I saw someone had done that, I hadn't thought of that when I did mine connection.
BTW, be sure to use a fused wire, most of them are nowadays.

I ended up removing the charging port. My wire had a larger end and I'd have to drill a pretty big hole in the charger port, so I thought I could run the wire through the hinge port. There's a plastic piece behind the hinge that I attempted to drill through but it pushed right off into the truck. So I ended up taking the charge port off entirely. Once you do that you can easily fish the wires through without taking anything else off. It was simple. The charge port pops back on. More simple than I thought. It's been working very well for me.
