So I recently set the charge to 100 for a trip coming up. When I unplugged it this morning it read 344 miles. I’ve charged it before to 100 percent before and never seen a reading like this before. Has anyone ran into this. I mean I’m not complaining just shocked

Been doing a lot of city driving? When the weather is nice, my commute gives me 2.7mpk average.
344mile / 131kWh is roughly 2.62mpk, very achievable in the right climate and city speeds.

I've seen my range estimate in that ball park several times. It's always amusing as I know I'm about to destroy my efficiency once I hit the highway. :)

My ‘23 charged to 353 on a full charge. That was after a 260 mile trip where I averaged 2.7 due to tailwinds and 75-80 degree weather, lots of traffic.

The GOM has been more optimistic lately, my 90% is showing 306, inferred 100% would be 340 miles

My 80 % showed 335 this morning. But I know it's a result of driving locally only and being conservative on the pedals. But I'll take it.

I've had my truck for exactly a year now, and have put 23,000 miles on it. I've never seen the GOM higher than 289 on a full charge.

This was the highest I’ve seen. It was also after a couple weeks of mostly city driving. Nothing really over 60mph.

@Ford Motor Company (not-ai Brian), let us know if we got that wireless upgrade for range...

In all seriousness though, this does just reduce our faith in what we are told

Wow, all over the place. Mine used to show a max of 324 miles at 100%, but I haven’t seen it above 280 miles the past 6ish months.

To be fair, while it did drop somewhat quickly when I started out my drive yesterday morning, at the end of the day I'd driven 40 miles and it was down to 360. So it's actually trending accurately. My driving is very specific, lower speeds on city roads to/from the same place several times a week.

In my 2013 F-150, it had DTE - Distance To Empty. This behaved EXACTLY like the GOM, predicting future range based on past driving. The difference is that it didn't immediately react when I put a destination in the navigation and such.

Did people not have gas vehicles with DTEs?

The miles range number coinciding with 100 percent charge is a calculated number that is mostly a factor of how efficiently your last drive was. If you were driving very slow. And doing a lot of stops d go driving , the computer will probably calculate a high number. Just my guess.

You also have to factor in the outside ambient temperature (as well as the terrain and speed). In warm summer temperatures I get projected ranges in the 370-400 mile range. The GOM range on my ‘22 ER drops a bit when the outside temperature is -18 degrees Fahrenheit.

It does, yes, but around here we have also seen it become more and more overly optimistic above 90% SOC. Down around 80% it seems much more realistic
