I am willing to grab the data or meet up with someone who can pull it. I didn’t realize the 25’s were not supported yet when I ordered the Comma 3. I have a 25 Flash with a 2/25 build date. I have everything is installed and version 3.1 running but I get a ton of errors and all safety and cruise controls features are disabled. I live in the Twin cities and would be willing to meet up with someone.
I can help you with figuring out what is going on since Alan is out of pocket for the day. I sent you a direct message to troubleshoot.

There is a thread on here where Jesse said he didn't think the 2025 Lightnings had Tron. I am keen to know if Comma works with 2025s.

@Jesse-Infotainment any idea on the 25's?

Mine came in today. Mounted it temporarily using a sticker shield to mount the standoff to so I could easily remove it when the quick disconnect bracket gets here. Will see how long it holds on before falling. Only took a short drive to calibrate but seemed to work pretty well and liked that it will steer while you control the accelerator. Will fine tune once I mount it permanently.

Few observations:

1. Boy getting to that connector on the IPMA is a giant PITA even with small hands. Can't imagine the skin torn off the knuckles for anyone else.

2. Figured I'd install the software in the house but kept getting low voltage alerts even plugged into my 65w laptop power supply. Guess it requires a decent bit of current to be happy.

3. Thought it was related to #2, but the 2.1 install would immediately jump to 10% and then the comma would restart. Remember seeing in Branden's video that he had to install open pilot, do a reset and then install blue pilot under custom software which worked like a charm.

4. Boy does that thing seem a mile away with the way the windshield slopes. May end up going with a mirror mount after all. Have a Wolfbox G900 Pro and the comma does slightly obstruct the bottom right corner of the front camera but not a huge deal. Thinking the mirror mount may actually get it more out of the way but we'll see

5. If definitely lights up like a christmas tree while booting and causes FordPass to flip out also. Should have the resisters and pcb here tomorrow.

the 2021 actually has a larger hole to reach through. I didn't know why everyone complained so much until I helped someone with a 2023

You can install it inside, the low voltage warning is 5V versus 12v, not amperage. It will work despite the warning.

It appears that the latest units shipping have to install openpilot before they will DNS custom URLs from github. Just another bug comma doesn't seem to care about since it only affects forks.

The problem with the mirror mount is vibrations. Unless the mount is really solid, you will get more ping pong than normal.

yeah I figured it should work since others have done it but didn't want to chance it. Also didn't think about installing open pilot first until I went outside and had the same issue.

the opposite. They WILL work.
OH! I'm not too well versed on this and didn't want to spend too much time reading/researching if it wasn't an option. Now that I know it is, I need to do some reading!

I don't want to say too much since I don't have the final version in my hand yet, but make sure you guys are leaving your comma harness box in a somewhat accessible orientation during install.

I checked a route from @oafydude28 and it has 8-byte messages. No TRON for 2025 Lightning

I doubled checked and the VIN detected by OpenPilot is a 2025 VIN.
It appears to be a faulty usb c cable. Uncle Tony walked me through some trouble shooting and when the comma is connected to the short cable there was no errors at all. I will be picking up a replacement cable tomorrow to see if that resolved the issue.

If you dont get the OEM comma cable, make sure you get a high quality USB 3.1 cable, you need all 24 pins available in the replacement cable. (Cheaply made ones won't have the ability to connect everything properly.)

USB 3.1 only or does 3.1+ work (ie USB 4 cables)?

Anything 3.1 or above should work. The main concern is that they have the 20gbps transfer rate. Some 3.1 cables will have the 4 super speed pairs and some won't.

had to be a GEN2 cable. not all 3.1 will work.
