If you enabled and turned on Silent mode you killed that animation. You should have a toggle on screen now. Turn silent mode off and see what you get

There are the changes for Silent mode:
Enable Silent Mode (AKA campground / dark mode)
Creates a SYNC toggle to turn on/off Silent Mode. Silent Mode turns off cluster lighting, welcome lighting, courtesy lights, and SYNC screen when opening doors; also silences the horn when locking doors. See this post for more info, pics, and how to enable using easy mode.
BCM 726-25-02 0101 0101 01--
BCM 726-28-02 01xx xxxx xx--
APIM 7D0-09-02 *xxx xxxx xx-- if C, change to D. If E, change to F.
thank you. I did add silent mode but do not have it activated. I will try turning it on and off again.

I also did a IPC reboot just to see if maybe there was a bug or something stuck there.

I’m gonna load all of my as built files before and after And have Grok do a comparison to make sure I didn’t inadvertently fat finger or put something in the wrong location.

Thanks for refreshing our memory. It sounds like what @hajalie24 found on Redditt is the same thing you posted in post 239.

In looking at my database of Lightnings, the 22-23's already have all 0's for these 4 parameters. The 24's have a smattering of non-zero values. So it looks like Ford changed the way seats and seat belts worked beginning in 2024.

All 4 parameters relate specifically to whether there are certain seats and seat belt sensors in the vehicle and whether they should have the Belt Reminder option. Making them all zero is certainly the extreme option!

It would take some work, but I would have instead started with just disabling the chimes and Belt Reminder values but leaving in the seats. The reason I say that is by telling the truck you don't have a rear seat (like would be in a standard cab F-150), I wonder if that also disables side airbags or other functions for the rear. You said seat heaters still work (rear also?) and maybe there aren't side curtain airbags for the rear seat. Since this is just for the IPC, it may be just cluster warnings, and there may be other places like BCM/PCM that get airbag info. I'm just spit-balling here - I'm not that knowledgeable of how that all works.

Did the Owner's manual procedure not work well enough to disable the warnings for you?
Maybe somebody could send a message to that Whistlin diesel dude that trashes all the vehicles to check and see if the airbags still work and whatever else we need to find out!šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

Has there been any mods where you can put the navigation address in while driving or enable car play wireless while exceeding the 1 mph or whatever it is? Some of these safety features are annoying.

Police interceptor perimeter alert

https://www.fordservicecontent.com/...A&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=False&buildtype=web

In the interceptors there is a physical button but I imagine the rest is mostly FORSCAN changes. There is mention of sensors behind the bumper but I'm going to guess those are the same sensors as our parking sensors...

This would be a neat feature, even if not all that useful for most
Are you suggesting @GDN gain access to a Police interceptor, plug into the OBD2, load up Forscan and capture all of the modules for our benefit?

If so I just want to say that I really appreciate @GDN your commitment to the cause and I look forward to testing this on my truck when you obtain it. I will send you cigarettes as a token of my appreciation.

Honestly, I think we can just get the vin for one and download the As Built files from the Motocraft site.

The question i have is if the SSV version of the Lightning has this, or if a deeper analysis of other platforms would be necissary

Where’s the fun in that?

You want me to put to put my you know what on the line to gain access to a Ford police car for a member of the 7/11 squad? That was a rough bunch. I don't know about that. I think it's going to take at lest 2 packs of cigarettes.

And from your friendly ChatGPT - the TL: DR is a special wiring harness and special BCM software are required. That doesn't mean you can't side load it if you can get your hands on it. That would likely require @Jesse-Infotainment to have access.

From ChatGPT
The Ford Police Interceptor alarm system—including features like the dark car mode, horn/siren alarm, and surveillance mode—is specifically designed for law enforcement vehicles and is not typically available or functional on standard consumer Ford vehicles without significant modifications.

Here are a few reasons why:

1. Different Wiring and Modules
  • Police Interceptors come with special wiring harnesses, Body Control Modules (BCM), and software configurations that support law enforcement features.
  • Civilian Ford vehicles lack the necessary hardware and firmware to activate these features.
2. Software Limitations
  • Many of the Police Interceptor features are programmed through Ford’s proprietary software (like Ford IDS or Forscan), but even with access to these tools, the options for activating police-only features may be locked or unavailable on non-police VINs.
3. Siren/Alarm Integration
  • The external siren and alarm systems on Police Interceptors are aftermarket or special-order components, not part of the standard consumer vehicle package.
  • Civilians would need to install compatible sirens and speakers, and wire them into a control module.
In Summary:
You can’t simply activate the Police Interceptor alarm system on a regular Ford vehicle. To replicate similar functionality, you'd need to:

  • Install compatible hardware (sirens, speakers, wiring).
  • Reprogram the vehicle's BCM (which may not support it).
  • Use aftermarket control systems instead (a more practical route).

I have a few VINs laying around for 24 and 25 Pro's that have the SSV package. But it looks like it's more than configuration.

Too bad!
I was all in on configuring the lightning for a jailbreak to bust @GDN out of jail!

Question, since I don't have my computer with FOSCAN handy. Can anyone dig into the install folder to see if they have the monitoring/sensor PIDs in plain text somewhere?

Using Notepad++ and searching the folder for "charger" or something similar may be a quick approach.

Thanks

Are you referring to the .bin files in the data folder (of install directory)?

If so, both charger and charge do not pull results from notepad++

Anywhere from the top level down (dont have the folder structure handy to review).
