Thanks to @shoopg @21st Century Truck @PJnc284 @flyin525 @BhamDCam @Henry Ford for sending me their VINs. As stated by @Jesse-Infotainment, it is important to have the latest software for the PPO mod to work.

In this case I believe it is the PCM module. While each of these trucks has different PCMs, the PCM is often packaged with other modules like ABS and BECM. These latter two show a clear difference between trucks where this mod works and it does not. Further the service manual indicates that PPO is furnished by the DCACA and DCACB modules but controlled by the PCM. Everyone has the same DCACx versions so that's good. Also everyone is on the latest SYNC (which is probably a prerequisite also).

So for this mod to work you need the latest PCM update that is likely available for your truck. It's probably the one that became available March 2.

I will update post 1 to include this mod with some notes.

Awesome info, thanks for doing the work to compare.

Thanks @bmwhitetx. So I’m guessing the only way to get the update you referenced is via FDRS? Or to just wait until I get the OTA update?

Always like to confirm FORScan changes before adding to post 1. :) So looking at my database of As-Builts:

7D0-10-03 xxxx xx2x xx--
All 22-23's have a 0, all 24-25's have a 2.
So you would be changing 0 to 2. According to the 24 spreadsheet, this enables "PPO Outlets On in Vehicle Off State".

7D0-10-04 xxxC xxxx xx--
Almost all 22-23's have a 4, most 24's have a C and 25's have a E.
So you would change 4 to C. According to the 24 spreadsheet, this changes "PPO Utility Idle" from Version 1 (MY23 and earlier) to Version 2 (MY24 and beyond).
If your 22-23 has a 0 that means the Sync feature to Record Feedback is disabled. This was an OTA you likely didn't get.
EDIT: The difference between C and E is that 2025's also have the Advanced Charging Screen.

Note that Jesse says the the truck should be fully updated. I will wait for several 22-23's to confirm the toggle appears AND the functionality works before adding to my Forscan mods page. If it doesn't work, you might check your Sync version (Settings..General..About Sync). I think the most current is 25094. I would imagine there might be another module or two that is also needed.

Reminder, this does not apply to 2024 and newer. You already have this!
First off thanks @bmwhitetx for all that you do here!

I was excited to try this because I really want and need this feature. But after enabling it and having PPO on when the vehicle is off. I have an issue with the Pro Power reserve settings slider not working in manual. The slider slides and the arrows work but the numbers don't move up or stick. The default or nearest charger only allows 15 or 20 km's. Normally I set it for over 100 km's because I need it. 23 Lariat with all the modules updated in June of this year.

7D0-10-03 xxxx xx2x xx-- was 0 changed to 2 and 7D0-10-04 xxxC xxxx xx-- was 0 and changed to C.

Can anyone help me out with this one please? :(

I'm not sure I've ever rec'd a PCM update OTA. But yeah, if Ford decides to give 22-23 owners this functionality as promised and it requires a PCM as I believe, then a PCM OTA will need to happen.

That's a lot of ifs.

Personally I think they need to address the power off after 6 minutes issue before rolling it out.

But after enabling it and having PPO on when the vehicle is off. I have an issue with the Pro Power reserve settings slider not working in manual.
@PJnc284 @shoopg @21st Century Truck and others - are you seeing this behavior with the PPO reserve sliders not working now? I verified via DM that @lightning-spark has updated modules and he sees the "Keep On When Vehicle is Off" toggle. But apparently the reserve sliders no longer work for him.

Mine did that too during one of my attempts this afternoon but after restarting my truck the slider worked again. 🤷🏼‍♂️

PPO reserve slider is working! Disconnecting the 12 volt battery for 10 minutes did the trick. Some other very strange behaviour before I did that. I love the truck and it's a feature that I really wanted. Thanks everyone!

Now that it has been verified to work, I've added to post 1. Thanks to Jesse and all the folks who tested it.

Enable Pro Power Onboard with truck off (2022-2023 only. Standard on 2024+).
Creates a Sync toggle in the Pro Power settings screen. See this post.
7D0-10-03 xxxx xx2x xx--
7D0-10-04 xxx* xxxx xx--
If 0, change to 8. If 4, change to C. If 6, change to E
If you enabled the Advanced Charging Screen, you likely have a 6.
Requires truck to have 2025 PCM update and likely Sync version 25094.

Time to fire up the laptop it has been a while!
Thank you Bruce for all you do to keep track of all this stuff and everyone that has been a guinea pig!

Did you try a Sync reset first? That usually clears up glitches on the center screen. If you aren't familiar, holding down volume down and next track on the steering wheel for about 10 seconds forces a Sync reset.

As luck would have it, looks like a set of PCM updates hit FDRS this morning so here’s hoping they become an OTA
