Last night charging session was unusual. I couldn't get any charging rate in the ford pass app. My charging station would show "not connected" in the fordpass app as well.
So in the morning when charging was done I decided to switch the breaker off before leaving for work. When I got home around 7pm I turned it on. After a few minutes I was able to see the FCSP connected and ready to charge in the fordpass app. I'm still not able to connect via the setup app though.
Interestingly I have insight data showing for last night session. I'm not too sure what to think about it.... as long as the truck gets its juice i'm happy. Although charging rate seems messed up. (My charging session are longer than usual)

Yup, we had a local power event yesterday (PGE pays you $1 for every kWH you don't use using their peak power events, so I earn $20 from not using grid electricity for 3 hours and running the house off the truck).

After the event ended, I switched back to mains electricity, and the truck didn't properly switch back over. I reset the charging station, and now it's not connecting in the Fordpass app (but the FCSP is connecting to the Ford Charge Station Pro app and my home assistant integration).

In the FordPass app, I'm getting the "Connection Lost" error message that's plagued it since day 1.

I also lost my 11 kW derate and the truck charged at 19 kW, which is what I think killed the last... however many charging stations I had.

Not too sure what I'm transferring (I don't have HIS) but this is what fordpass app is showing for my FCSP right now. The truck is plugged waiting for the preferred charging time of 12:00am.

Yeah, that's pooched.

@Ford Motor CompanyC'mon, guys, help us out.

Honestly, the sooner someone figures out a way to let us all control our own freaking charging stations LOCALLY - the better.

I've shared more details with the MoCo this morning 'off thread' via DM's, hoping they will get this sorted out and we'll have solutions.

PS: I am resisting doing a factory reset until I hear from the engineering team confirming this will work, allowing the Station ID and Password to be restored to factory original conditions.

Right now I get this. No status at all. Charging session went great overnight. No fluctuation in charging rate.

OK. I was away from my FCSP all day yesterday. When I got home and pulled into the garage, I noticed some weird lighting on the FCSP LED with shifting colors of red, orange, white, and blue. When things got back to a solid blue, I seemed to have been blessed with an entirely different firmware version than any of you:
Ford F-150 Lightning FCSP Software Version 2.500.34-ford.27+26-08 IMG_1701_EDIT

Everything but derating the charging rate still worked. My charger location and charging time windows were preserved. I could access the Charge Station in the Ford app and by launching the Ford Charge Station Pro Setup App, as shown by the screen capture above.

Long story short. Ford AI is rolling out to users of the Ford app general release version. If you have a release of the Ford app with Ford AI in it, you can verify the answer I got. The problem with derating is that the decryption of the derating app message the Ford cloud servers send an FCSP with a newer, problematic version of the firmware is screwed up. Until another corrected version of the firmware is installed, an affected FCSP will not be able to derate. In the Charge Settings app on your truck SYNC screen, you may be able to set two different charge windows for one day, which is what I did on the clock dial for weekday and weekend times that pop up when you go to edit time windows on the SYNC screen. I set one time window for 2 AM to 3 AM and another for 6 AM to 7 AM, and got 10% SOC applied to my ER battery in each time window. I'm in San Antonio, TX. My garage, although insulated, has risen to and stays around 88° F 24x7 in the near-100° weather we're having now. So, I usually don't need to charge more than 10% to 20% to recharge after a day's driving, and I want to avoid one long continuous charging session at 80A.

I was told to leave my truck disconnected from the FCSP as much as possible to catch a future firmware update that is needed to fix the derating decryption problem.

I've seen that 'blank' status a couple times this week, but at the moment it's reporting 'ready to charge', truck isn't plugged in at this time.

Bummer...wonder what happened to our FCSP's?

In case you didn't know this...you can open the FCSP cover and turn the dial down on the circuit board near the top to your desired MAX amps based on the chart - nine T20 screws to remove and replace:

Glad you're still in business.

I don;t know what the rest of us with apparently no WiFi anymore are going to do...we won't get the update without WiFi unless they have a backdoor way to send it.

I think there’s hope. I have been digging and while I can’t get root access yet, I have seen on my spare unit that it’s eMMC is full…

if that can be fixed….
