Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

I am still on 24127. No APIM has popped up. I'm headed out to reconnect in just a few to run the BECM battery test. Other than the network test/scan is there something I'm missing to make it run a module check?

I am also on SYNC 24127, and no APIM update was available when mobile service was here last week doing my BCM.

Is there a way with FDRS to push the trucks config/as built to the Ford servers? I made updates last weekend that still aren't reflected in the As Built. None of the change I made were in modules that I updated yesterday, but at the start of each FDRS session it pulls data about the truck from the cloud. I guess I'm surprised some of it didn't get overwritten.

You would run the "read configuration data" tool. That is supposed to upload your existing config up to the mothership. However, I can tell you 100% confidence this does not work 100% of the time.

PSA to whom it may concern. We've known this to be the case for a long time on the forums. We use to think it was a mistake of some sort on Ford's side, but it seems to be on purpose. If your vehicle is on Sync 23031, 23159 or 23291 and not showing any more updates for the APIM, GWM or TCU, then Ford just doesn't like you. I can think of no sensical reason why they would do this, but it is what it is.

Yea, I'm also on 24127. Hard to say what is the percentage of vehicles that are being held back.

You don't list 24127 as being held back, but yet there is a newer version and those of us with 24127 don't have it listed, so is it maybe a bigger problem than they have documented?

I wonder whether this is affected by coding differences between the 15-inch screen trucks and the 12-inch screen trucks.

It is very possible that once you get to 24127, you won't have the update for the newer version available, either.

I think 24127 is the latest version for genpop. 25094 has only been out a month and I think was initially EAP. However, looking at the 25094 OTA thread, seems an assortment of folks have it. @TaxmanHog removed the EAP flag.

There is also 23306 not listed as held back. It came out last summer as 6.14.0. It updated the icons to this:

Wasn't the latest Sync update for EAP to clean up the WAL stuff? Pretty much all it was for right? It wasn't a very big update.

Anybody else notice that the notes section in FDRS this morning is sometimes in "Italiano"?

And since I know somebody is going to ask...here's what my current user settings are:

I logged in three times this morning and it went from Italian....and then back to English with the notes including the Sync 4 updates being blocked....and then after I installed my rotary gear shift knob and was checking for DTCs it was back to Italian again. ?‍ Fagedaboutit!

I looked up a VIN today and poked around more of FDRS and yes, also got some strange language on a page or two. I just backed out and assumed it was somewhere I didn't need to be.
