Beat me to it, I got it this afternoon also.

On the Mach-E, 6.1.0 is unofficially confirmed to be the first in the BlueCruise 1.3 update series.

Is there any actual blue cruise improvements?

From BC 1.0 to BC 1.3, yes there are significant improvements and new features. Those are documented elsewhere so I won't go over that here.

It will take a while before BC 1.3 is actually enabled though. Based on how many updates were needed to enable BC 1.0 on early Mach-E's, the speculation is that it will take 5+ OTAs before BC 1.3 is turned on.

Mach-E owners are just starting to get 6.2.0 this week and BC 1.3 is not turned on yet.

ICE trucks started getting this last week. It is a GWM update and 6.2.0 followed shortly after and is also a GWM update.

Nothing that is customer facing regarding BlueCruise changed in this one. But I'm surprised no one has jumped on the Intelligent Backup fix in this update!
Where does it say there was an intelligent back up fix?

I don’t think 6.1/6.2 (both GWM updates) are going to turn on BC 1.3. It’ll require at least a combo of PSCM, IPMA, APIM, and IPC updates.

EDIT: actually 6.2.0 reads more like an APIM update. But yeah there’s still more updates to come for BC.

Just received the update too.

@Gimme_my_MME - Was this tongue in cheek?

Maybe the number of people using the Intelligent Backup is just too small for anyone to really notice.

Now if they had included the option to use ProPower without the truck on - some dancing in the streets. I guess that is still for another date however.

Correct. IPMA and IPC updates are needed for sure for BC 1.3.

6.2.0 is definitely a GWM update on the ICE trucks, so I doubt it'll be different for you guys.

Oh I see, I was thinking 6.2.0 on the Mach E — that has Sync UI changes so definitely APIM. The Lightning versions might not follow the Mach E and be more like the ICE.

Agreed, hence the "first in the series" comment (at least for the Mach-E) and my other reply about likely needing 5+ updates before BC 1.3 gets turned on.
