So one 2023 reported the earlier version (PT-25.8.5) and now three 2022’s get this newer version (PT-25.13.12). Since this updates the PCM it could give us PPO with truck off (requires Forscan, see my sig). TBD.

Remember, if you get this include your year or better yet update your vehicles in your Account. Thanks to above members for doing that!

Must have been another update because on my 23 I’ve not gotten this update and the PPOB with truck off has been working for a couple months now using forscan of course to enable it.

Just got an updated version of this
Pt-25.13.12:

I like this update but I think they should have made it so the port locks with level 2 as well. Seems stupid not to. Many cars now loco the port on level 2 to keep assholes from either stealing an adapter or just unplugging in general.

Oh, man. This update seems like a reason to re-enable updates. :/ Sigh.

I agree. I could see someone doing that at a L2 at a hotel. Hopefully less likely, but also wondered about neighborhood kids doing it.

I agree. It’s also a way to protect a mobile charger from theft. Would be great to have a toggle button for locking/unlocking charge port if the owner prefers.

I would prefer not to have the charge port lock automatically.

I’d rather some vandal steal a $200 portable charger than damage the many thousands of dollars charge port.

I would also prefer not to have to fight with a lock if there’s an emergency that requires disconnecting the vehicle from the charger.

Hopefully there is a toggle or Forscan option to disable the locking.

I just want the update to the drive units.

The J1772 standard doesn’t include the ability to lock the cable to the vehicle. Only the CCS standard has that.

Exactly. I completely agree on your first point. I don’t want someone to try to forcibly remove a DC charging cable and not understand that it’s physically locked, and damage my charge port. It’s not like the thing isn’t primarily plastic. It already feels pretty flimsy when it’s NOT locked.

What’s the difference between this and 25.8.5? Notes are the same.

also I find it fascinating that it enables the fob or PaaK to unlock when near the charge port. Does that mean the hardware sensors for it have been there on the charge port the whole time?
