For the non-motorized, would the silver ring free spin, or be locked into place when it's not hooked up?
It will be locked in park without it hooked up. You have to have the ignition on and the brake pedal depressed to shift it from park.

I think this may be motorized. Between the two I have (One motorized and one not) yours looks like the motorized version - 4 screws on top and the diamond bottom.
I had time to do an install and revert back today. Your prediction is dead-on! It is motorized with an ambient light base. No error codes, just plug-and-play. I feel like I won the rotary shifter lottery with how cheap I was able to purchase it for considering what prices for this part have done of late.

It sucks that I have to wait for the printed part for so long now. I may just attempt printing one myself. My only problem is that my son’s 3D printer does not have a big enough print bed. I may give the 2-piece modular design that endian uploaded to Thingverse a try.

At least feel free to share the part number, and even eBay link/seller if you’d like UncleTony.

I sent you a DM. I can print you the cubby from endian if you want, ive been trying to figure out something to do with the rest of my glass filled ASA.

I'm not sure what the part number on the one you have is, but comparing them to the OEM motorized models, i believe it is an OEM shifter. I'm just not sure why they'd go through the effort of scratching off the part number and "Fomoco".

The only and it’s speculation reason to scratch off numbers would be recall parts?

That is always a possibility. I don't think that explains scratching off the FOMOCO stamp though.

I greatly appreciate your offer! That would be a huge help for me, and I would be able to get it installed that much sooner.

I suppose you could chalk it up under the guise of the LX6Z-7P155-U, along with the link to the seller I previously provided. Beyond that, yeah...there is no "official" part number thanks to them scratching it off...along with the FoMoCo.

I’m compiling a verified list of Ford rotary shifter part numbers.

The current working theory is that part numbers starting with LX6P or LX6Z typically refer to motorized rotary shifters. These are commonly used in 2020–2022 Escape, Bronco Sport, and others.

I’m hoping to collect real-world confirmations so we can build a reliable cross-reference list for retrofits and replacements.

If you’ve used one of these parts, please reply with the following:

  1. Part number (example: LX6P-7P155-EH)
  2. What vehicle it came from (year and model)
  3. Whether it is confirmed to be motorized (yes/no)
  4. Any other notes (source, behavior, fitment issues, etc.)
LX6P-7P155-XX believed to have the blue light in dial base (ring)

Motorized Rotary Shifters

These rotary shifters have a built-in motor that automatically rotates the knob into "Park" when the vehicle powers off.

Part NumberConfirmed ByNotes
LX6P-7P155-ED—Believed motorized
LX6P-7P155-EE@AjzrideConfirmed motorized
LX6P-7P155-EH@Drayday55Confirmed motorized, has “L” button
LX6P-7P155-HE@jmyer72Confirmed motorized, has “M” button
LX6P-7P155-HG@digitaldadConfirmed motorized
LX6P-14G395-AB@AjzrideConfirmed motorized
LX6P‑7P155‑AD@RobocopConfirmed Motorized
LX6P-7P155-LE@Mike G @sstevetxConfirmed Motorized
LX6Z-7P155-A/ABMeConfirmed Motorized w/ Ambient
LX6Z-7P155-U@JimH05Confirmed (Do not buy from Multisurplus on Ebay)
LX6Z-7P155-BBelieved Motorized
LX6Z-7P155-MBelieved Motorized

Non-Motorized Rotary Shifters

These do not auto-return to Park. Knob may rotate past Drive, depending on configuration.

PZ1P-7P155-AC@The WeathermanNon-motorized, has lit base
LJ9Z-7P155-D@farmtruckNon-motorized, from 2021 Mach‑E
NZ6P-7P155-AD@mr.MagooNon-motorized, Maverick
PZ1P-7P155-HC@mr.MagooNon-Motorized, Escape, has Ambient
PZ1P-7P155-EG @GaunleBronco Sport 2024 has ambient
NK4Z-7P155-D@mr.MagooE-Transit

Check out @Mike G 's install method here - This is the best way I have seen it done so far if you care about keeping all your clips intact.

Please add any others you’ve verified, or correct anything above if you’ve found otherwise. Once we gather enough data, I’ll update the first post with a full list of confirmed motorized part numbers.

Worth a read before ordering to make sure you get the updated part https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...pressed-transmission-remains-in-park-p.21849/

Thanks in advance for contributing.
I have had one of these in my eBay cart for a bit. I just saw it was from Multisurplus. What is the issue there?

They are selling PZ1P-7P155-AC as LX6Z-7P155-U. If you want a non motorized one, you are good. But you won't get the LX6Z-7P155-U from them.

Good note, thank you. I think I was leaning toward motorized.

I ran across a few used ones on eBay that might work if anyone is interested in taking a chance. Both are around $85 with free shipping. They are both listed as 21 Bronco Sport and the model number is similar to others verified in this thread, but the last 2 letters are different. For example, the 1st one below is the same model as my motorized one except the last letter id D while mine is E. Mine is from a 21 Bronco Sport as well.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/396923842516 - Model LX6P-7P155-KD - $82

Ford part numbers usually are newer revisions if it's only the last two digits that are different. IE - higher # or letter

@UncleTony - Has it been determined if the units with the diamond pattern on the bottom are knock-offs?

Did your -A version have the diamonds or the smooth/plain bottom with FoMoCo etching?

The diamond pattern isn't an indication of a knock off. I actually think it is an indicator of it being motorized. Mine did have the diamond pattern and 4 screws on the top instead of 3. The ring is also separate from the top piece on the motorized variants.

The main indicator for knockoffs I have found is the lack of "FOMOCO" on the housing.

Got a new part number for the list. PZ1P-7P156-ED.
It was plug and play, and came out of a '22 Bronco Sport.
It has a blue ring around the base of the dial.
It is not motorized and electrically shifts back to P when you open the door in D.
"L" button activates N hold.
It will not rotate unless you push the brake.
It will rotate past D and P, but doesn't do anything.

Printing this cubby now. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7024287
gonna be nice to finally have a cup holder big enough for my giant water bottle!
