Is the tub insulated for that?

It is not, and there are heat generating components there. Total non-starter. And not a way to generate sales, since the time it takes to cool a hot space to refrigerator temps is...

Many people have put refrigerator coolers in their frunks, especially those with long drives to the food store.

As suggested by others here on the forum, we got the Rogue Bouge RVCooler and put it into the Frunk for grocery runs, it also fits perfectly in the rear cab area to supply cold drinks on a long summer drive.
When we need more seating in the rear cab we put the cooler into the bed and plug it in there. Very handy.

I think you mean the BougeRV Cooler...

sw engineering manager,
I would never use the frunk to haul groceries as I pull into my garage with the frunk up against the back wall. The Frunk is an inconvenient place to access when my Truck is parked in the garage. I just load the groceries in the back seat which is much more accessible.

Wonder if there would be a market for a drop in liner for the frunk to insulate it somewhat. Wouldn't be 100% but essentially to make the whole thing an ice box of sorts.

Line it with plastic drop cloth material, and spray foam your own fitted liner?

It took Ford four years to put A/C vents in the back seat of the Broncos. People have asked about retrofitting their older Broncos and there were so many parts that had to be redesigned it's not worth it.

I really don't think heating and cooling the frunk would increase sales. It's not something many people ask for and to my knowledge no other EV has this feature.

If Ford wanted to put some money into increasing sales they need to make the software better. It would be a ton of money to start over, but they can make what we already have better. Add features like dog mode and make the native nav not suck.

Perhaps stop before you hit the wall, unload then pull the rest of the way in? Or back in? We have cameras all over the truck so either way should never be an issue.

Easiest to just use the back seat.

Okay...I get that the frunk is not the best choice for you but what has that got to do with anything. For me, my garage is tight from side to side and I have plenty of room in front of it, right where my garage to house door is. Instead of fighting with the truck doors, Its amazing to just simply open the frunk and unload directly into the house. We all have different conditions and use for our trucks.

In saying that, heating/cooling the frunk is no easy feat and although practical to some, wouldn't increase sales. I mean, if having a frunk in the first place can't manage to get sales, I don't think it being heated or cooled is going to move the needle much or at all. You would need a bigger cooling compressor, coils, ducting. insulation, thermostats, etc. That's besides all the engineering of an already dense space around the frunk to get it so big. Sounds like a very expensive option that I would not be willing to pay for the few times I would use it. Better off getting a cheap cooler as others have suggested.

We are also talking about Ford here. They can't even take obscuring text off a camera screen after years of complaints. There is a lot for them to improve before they get to this.
