Think he was just stating he got WAL in the last update, no news for us without 2024s. I still have auto-update off until I know I won't lose WAL since I added my toggles manually.

The BCM would need to be updated to the most recent version in order for WAL to be able to work.

I got the frunk update which included WAL. It worked but didn’t include the sliders. When I let ford know I was told I would received an update to deactivate WAL until a fix was made which would include the sliders. So far I haven’t received any Fixes. Sorry about the confusion.

How do you know if you have WAL and how do you set it up

1. Walk 30 feet away, did your mirrors fold in?
2. Look at your phone (sometimes a couple minutes later), is there a message saying your truck was locked?

No setup needed, it just started working when the update downloaded (for me a while back). I didn't get any sliders, but I like it. One thing that's a bit weird is when you are walking around the garage you can hear something 'enable' and 'disable' the locks (doesn't actually unlock until you touch the door handle). Even with just my phone in my pocket and the App turned off I hear 'click' 'click' as it detects me and then feels me walk away.

With today’s update, I now have karaoke. Also the navigation is way better. Apple Maps now shows chargers when it didn’t before among other things I’m sure it might take another day for it to fill up with whatever else so so far so good.

Interesting. Mine appears to have installed the public charging app, but not the karaoke app.

Apple maps has always worked that way for me.

I have 10.1.1 previously, but never 10.1.0.

I like it too, but it's still inconsistent for me. There are times when it works and when it doesn't. Also, it'll sometimes lock right away, then other times I will be about 100' away be for it locks. The confidence is a little low with it currently.

I turned back on my power folding mirrors as a visual indicator the other day. Noticed with my phone only on my person that the WAL is fast-fast, 20-30 feet. With key fob and no phone it could be double that easily. Overall it’s taking me a little time to get used to it. It’s pretty handy I’ve personally concluded.

So I have a ‘22, and have WAL enabled without toggles, still no update to turn off toggle for annoying audible horn response. I emailed ford regarding the update and they said the eventual solution is toggles that will allow you to turn off the honk, but no timeline for when that update would be pushed via OTA
