I spend time moving threads into topically related forum nodes, if folks spent a minute working the search engine in advanced mode for a particular group they will find what they need.

I drive 4.5 miles from my home, to work. The road is 40 mph with plenty of traffic light stops. I go down 2 fairly small hills to get there.

Is this Miles per Kilowatt Hour reading unheard of or is this common even in such a short trip?

From my four months of Lightning experience, could well be with some downhill.

I drove 10 miles yesterday afternoon starting at 68% and arriving at the bottom of the hill with 72%...
I was watching CarScanner and regularly seeing 100KW going into the battery.

That represents your regen being added. It will adjust when you go back up the hill and it takes more energy to climb out. I see that when going to a buddy’s cabin that is down a steep grade from my house.

Does the Lightning warm the cabin using shore power when plugged in at home and turning on climate using the Ford app?

I think i heard someone say this a couple years back.

Thanks.

Does "Slippery" mode reduce the amount of regenerative braking? I hope so, because I don't think "Normal" mode is going to work for me when the snow and ice comes.

Where I live, you have to be very meticulous with throttle and brake inputs to safely navigate rural roads in winter. LAST thing I want is to see a snow covered section ahead, let off the throttle, only to have regen braking lock the tires up and send me into the ditch.

Is slippery mode something new for 2025? I just have normal, sport, off-road, and tow/haul.
It's available on the ICE trucks for sure but haven't seen it on a Lightning.
FWIW, folks have reported it does well on snow.

Searching is easy. The forums search function works great and is much better than a thread full of repetitive questions and answers. The same questions will be asked over and over in a thread like this. I search whenever I need to look up something or remember an answer. It's prevented me from making other threads asking the same questions over and over again. If someone is too lazy to scroll through the search results...that's a different issue.

All this is doing is creating another thread to search through. If you have a question and you can't find an answer...just ask it. If you don't know how the search function works, ask.
I wish people would stop posting snarky replies like “Go use the search feature” or “Google it.” Please try being nicer folks!

I also agree with the op that the search feature on this forum leaves a lot to be desired.

Hmmm... I've never heard of Slippery Mode.

Can anyone expound?

Wow, I don't have that on my 23 Lariat ER with tow package. I'm guessing it's for the never modes? It would be nice if a future update would add this feature. Maybe @Ford Motor Company has some insight on a possible OTA update for this feature in the future?

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle.. dagum.. Do you have the max tow package? Maybe it's related to that.. My Lariat doesn't have it but I only have the basic tech tow package I think..
The feature is a part of the MAX TOW option starting MY2025, optional on Pro, XLT, Flash, Lariat, included on Platinum.

I have no Max Towing package. I also have no options other than the Tesla adapter and PPO. The Slippery Mode is standard. So you guys don't have it? Every Lightning I've looked at has it.
