I just picked up my truck recently and had this error message pop up last weekend. I searched and found some similar occurrences but thought I should post the details since my experience was a little different. I also would like to get input on whether or not to hold off on any mods for a while until I'm sure it won't be going back to a dealer for a significant amount of time.

When it happened the truck was plugged in and a 12pm departure time was set. At 12:02 I tried to start it and got the "Full Accessory power active" pop up even though the brake pedal was depressed and then got the "Stop safely now" message which also displayed a 12v battery warning light. After trying it a few times it started normally and it hasn't happened again after driving a few hundred miles. I haven't contacted a dealer yet. I intend to ask the Ford BEV team for advice on which dealer I should take it to since the one I used for the purchase doesn't appear on the list of EV dealers in my area.

Has anyone had this happen and not happen again or is this the initial symptom of a bigger problem? Any advice/input is greatly appreciated.

You may want to check for a loose 12V battery connection. IIRC, more than one person has seen this on their new truck.

Hi there! I can look into your Lightning's error message concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Lightning's VIN?

This problem has started re-occurring. Not sure if it is related but it started again after having the battery monitor sensor replaced (CSP-23B70). I have been able to just keep turning it off and back on but this morning I had to do that many times. Is there anything else that needs to be done?

Happened to me (after I stressed the battery doing FDRS updates) a couple of weeks ago. New 12v battery solved the problem. Just because your truck is new doesn't mean the battery is (or was treated well before delivery).

This 12V battery situation has happened to me on 3 brands of EV/PHEV/hybred (4 vehicles). More so than any ICE I've owned (20+). It looks to me like a design problem as there is no excuse for this happening when a relatively huge HVB is charged and/or the vehicle is plugged into the grid. Come on Nissan, KIA and Ford, you can do better than that.
