Yeah, the power + no charging leans heavily towards battery failure. The safest thing would be to make alternative arrangements. Call the Ford BEV hotline and get a case # going. If you need a rental, ask for reimbursement policy. Several have had good luck with this.

Ford App says Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power but dash display reads 100% power available no noticeable decrease in power, but not pushed hard.
Forscan picks up a Code:
P0929 ā Gear Shift Lock Solenoid/Actuator Control Circuit āAā Range/Performance
Additional Fault Symptom:
- Commanded Position Not Reachable

This is probably the third or fourth time this āService vehicle soonā has popped up starting in June. This last time after I stopped the truck, turned it off, plugged in the OBDII reader, turned the truck back on, the orange wrench was still on, took a reading in Forscan, found the shift lock error. Then I pushed the Shifter fold down button and like magic the error cleared. Seems like some kind of bad motivator in that Shifter thingamajig, I distinctly told the dealer when I spontaneously purchased the truck I thought that shifter was not a good idea and some buttons, or a spinner would be less likely to break. Ford if you are reading this, why donāt you make a spinner replacement kit available with a new tray, so I donāt have to 3D print my own and hack a $80,000 truckā¦ Just asking, no I did not pay that much but that was list at the time.
Update: Bad battery module. Truck is out of commission for 10~14 days.
I've been saying this a while. This isn't a random unknown. It's time it gets bigger attention.
It won't until someone gets killed on the hwy. In the case of batteries malfunctioning, it is really just random events, most likely due to manufacturing defects in a few. I don't know how many of these trucks have been built but I'd be willing to bet it's a lot more than the few mentions in here.
Another one bites the dustā¦. Not that its of comfort but imagine how many pissed ICE owners there must be with this POS GSMSigh.
We finally ran into our first major problem in >70k miles of Mustang Mach-E and Lightning ownership.
Got the Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power message in FordPass and the SVS alert on the dash. Pulled the P0929 code with CarScanner.
No wonder the dial shifter jumped from $80 to >$200 on eBay. I guess I have to find that BEV team phone number sometime this weekend.

Yep. As of today you can add me: 2024 Flash ER build date 10/24 3K miles Service Vehicle Soon, Wrench Icon, Powetrain Malfunction/Reduced Power. "what should I do?" A pwertrain or AWD fault has been detected, contact your authorized daler as soo as possible. Truck seemed to drive fine. Power was equal Front/Rear and not reduced. Made it home (10 miles) without problem. Wrench now gone and no warning except in history.These are the folks mentioned in this thread so far with problems, a couple seem to have self corrected. Who is missing here if someone knows of 33 reports in the forum? Wish folks would put more in their signatures of build date, model detail, and battery type. Maybe @Ford Motor Company would give us a complete list!
