That is correct. If the LVB does not meet the proper specs in terms of charge, capacity, temperature, BMS data quality and perhaps a few other factors, the OTA will not even attempt to install. The OTA trigger (unless canceled by the server) will remain active for 30 days giving the owner time to charge the LVB up.
I believe adding the battery tender helped to keep the 12 V battery charged for the 1.4 update. I watched the voltage through my car scan the battery tender did a great job of keeping the voltage up automatically.
NO, there is no LVB conditions for "receiving" the update package, but installing it is when the LVB condition can be a barrier, so unless you've been alerted that a new update is pending, no need to "always" be tending the LVB.
After seeing others report getting 1.4 today I checked my truck and lo and behold my number finally came up! Maybe I should go buy a ticket for the $1.8B Powerball and see if my luck continues.

I put the LVB charger on, once it's charged up I'll leave it on and initiate the update. I'm not going to chance initiating the update without the LVB topped off. I've waited this long for 1.4, and it's an update I really am excited about.

I am currently downloading my first update since receiving 1.4 2 or three weeks ago

“Convenient Frunk closing”

It looks like it fixes the first real issue I ever found with my truck. I didn’t realize it was just a software glitch. I thought my truck had some kind of problem. I would pop the frunk and then I would sit there and press that button forever, and it would never close

I didn’t realize it was because the vehicle was locked

Just got this update on my '22 Lariat. Really hoping it speeds up the control loop cycle time that makes for late corrections, especially on high wheel angle corners. This makes me have to put in some torque to help BC / CP360 getting into and out of corners on the twisty roads along the river. Looking forward to taking it for a test drive ...

Is this road a divided / limited access highway?

Some of each. I70 East of Grand Junction is 4 lane divided, but BC 1.0 really struggled with a few of those tight curves. I also drive a 2 lane not divided in CP360 mode pretty often that was pretty dicey on 1.0 ...

I got it today, 36 months and 2 days after I got the truck. I plan on using it tomorrow for a little 50 mile interstate trip in heavy traffic.

I have a late ‘24 Flash, that I’m pretty sure already had BC 1.4.
Well I get back from a trip the other day and my truck is humming and whirring in the garage. When it’s done, the screen says I got BC 1.4. Hmmm…

First time I try to drive after the update everything about the infotainment is a little weird……SiriusXM channels slow or never load, everything is sluggish and many of my preference settings have changed. Also, the ‘Media App‘ no longer works, my and my daughters iphone name are now washed out and not selectable and the ”I’m a passenger” override doesn’t work. Just doesn’t seem like the same truck, which pisses me off, because I was very happy with the way it was.
Any thoughts ??

How much of a wait between it "finishing" the install and you driving it?

IMHO, I like to let her sit for a few hours after the update to make sure any cleanup operations have completed before firing her up for a ride.

I have not run my truck since the afternoon 1443 hour installation, looking forward to how it behaves in the morning coffee & breakfast ride.

Well it never updated, got notice today that there was an update to install and it was the Frunk update. That successfully installed and now the truck started downloading the blue cruise update again and says it’s ready to install. Hopefully this is it!
Successfully updated!

Yes, I've taken the Mrs. out to lunch, this popped up when I parked the truck, I'll install it later after we're home...

Congrats. Been a busy day so just now getting to post. I figured it would be your day.

Interestingly I got the updated today too, but I already had it fully functional from FDRS and Forscan. I didn't think it would hit. Proof I guess they just send because it hadn't been sent. I'm OK with that.

Test run this morning, went north on I-95 from the house to North Attleboro, this section has gentle curves and a couple of interchanges to contend with in & out merging traffic, the truck handle the route perfectly, situated the truck centered in the middle of the lane, I did a couple of lane change requests all executed perfectly, I pulled up next to a semi on my right, the Lightning adjusted slightly to the left side of my lane ~3 or so inches from what I could tell.

As I was passing the rest area zone, my truck maintained its position in the far right lane without panicking when it lost sight of the white line for the off ramp to the rest area, this particular ramp does not have witness marks to guide through traffic from ramping traffic, the truck maintained the position and did not disengage BC or ask me to take the wheel, similar behavior at the opposite side of the rest area where the on ramp is also missing the through traffic witness marks.

I turned around in North Attleboro, heading south smooth sailing as I approached the Mass / RI state line, where the road gets very curvy, this section of road is affectionately called the 'Pawtucket S curves', motorcyclists love it for it's GP like course, car drivers tend to dread it because of a quick succession of left & right banks over a 1.5 mile section of road, the speed is also reduced in this section, though few people drive slow.

The Lightning handled the Roosevelt avenue curve with a little jerky positioning adjustments on the left banking turn toward East st, I had following distance set to one bar for tight formation (less inviting for lane clippers to cut in front of me), but that setting might have contributed to the algorithms lessing confidence and jerky course corrections, also my speed was above the reduced speed for this section of road.

A short section of straight road leading into the Fountain street curve, where we bank left again, this time it handled the curve well, but right after this is the Broadway right bank which it struggled with, asking me to take the wheel for a second or so until it automatically resumed control coming out of the turn.

The final curve beginning at Wolcott st running down toward apex at prospect st and straightening at George st, was more graceful curve, but heavy merging traffic from Broadway & Wolcott with drivers quickly taking center or left lanes with little regard for traffic enroute stressed the collision avoidance features of BC-1.4, again, she asked me to cover the wheel while maintaining control.

I consider this section of road the most challenging of my local travels, I'm glad to see that it could attempt to handle the conditions, now if crazy RI drivers could chill a little it might perform better and maybe I slow down a little..... crazy Mass. drivers!

History lesson, this section of I95 was highly debated in the 50's when they were planning the route, many protested the smoother route passing through the Central Falls section so they formulated the twisting path you see today, right in the middle of these actual & proposed routes is the Blackstone river and Samuel Slater Mill, the first hydro powered industrial mill in the US, these historic sites and the neighborhoods to the northwest were of concern, so they made the route as we see today.
