Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power

So my first post is unfortunately here. Last week I had the warning come up and went away several hours later. Yesterday came on again, have appt set up for this week. 2025 Flash 3500 miles. Not what I was wanting on a new truck.

It's not that bad. As long as they order the correct part, the fix is fast and easy.

New Client here. (Bought a used 2023 Lariat, 23.5K miles, had it for <2 weeks)

Got the Powertrain and High Voltage warnings ... truck is now a brick.

Build year: 5 31 2023
Errors via FORScan: P1A10, P0AA6, P2C85, B164D, U0420, U0232, P1A36

Service appointment set up for tomorrow (hope they can send a mobile unit or a tow)

Hmmmm - you think bad battery modules that have been happening for 4 years that take usually 2 weeks and at a cost of likely $3K to $6K is not bad? And it is fast and it is easy?

What you would think is that Ford and their shady battery partner would have found a fix by now.

Hmmmm - you think bad battery modules that have been happening for 4 years that take usually 2 weeks and at a cost of likely $3K to $6K is not bad? And it is fast and it is easy?

What you would think is that Ford and their shady battery partner would have found a fix by now.
Most of these are the shifter module. The ones needing to be towed, or unable to charge, yeah, those are more serious. I was responding to the first one, which I went through a couple months ago.

Local Ford dealership installed a new Gear Shift Module (GSM) today after the backorder delay. Took them about an hour. I can tell the tray ABS plastic has a slightly different mold surface quality, and the shifter fold down button is less shiny and has a black inlay, other then that it appears identical. Only time will tell if the issue has been resolved. I am optimistic and thankful it is not the more serious dreaded battery swap problem.

Update from dealer:

"High voltage battery needs replacing, ordering. No timeline on it's arrival."
Just clarify, a module or maybe two will need replacing. Ford has yet to replace an entire battery. I now it sounds like splitting hairs when your truck is down, but there is a distinction.

Oh absolutely, it was end of the day and they were stressed, so I wasn't picky on specifics until I get a timeline. I'll find out more tomorrow and relay.

Also need a loaner car, so tomorrow will get all the details.

I think Ford would be wise to change the Errors so that if you have a Gear Shift Module (GSM) issue that is what the alert says in the App if not what the dash says, and if you have a more serious issue like a battery module or two it should say that, the Truck has the information available because I can read it in Forscan. I do want to thank everyone that posts their issues in this forum as it made getting my Truck's GSM replaced super easy with the dealer.

Ok, just found out that I need an upper rear array replaced. This is the second bad module for me. I’m at 82,000 miles on a 2022 Lariat. Luckily it is still under warranty because my service tech said they billed Ford $9900 for the last one (module 1 I believe). This one manifested as elevated battery temperatures after DCFCing. No other indications.
