Ford's really got to differentiate the fordpass messages when you have multiples in your fleet.

They’re just making sure you’re paying attention.

What’s wrong with the Explorer?

Unsure currently, no issues in the car other than the message on the dash and message in the app. They’re picking it up tomorrow to check it out. No codes present on my Obdlink. Limited research seems to indicate that the fix might be…wait for it…a software update for the GSM!

Got this idea from some of the truckers from the air foils, combined with a Ford video saying the rear tailgate spoiler helps move the air, and lucid engineers saying they’d extend the rear spoiler out as far as possible to reduce drag.

Limited data so far but I’ve been playing around with this:

I’ve been moving it further and further out. I started flush with the tailgate and didn’t notice much if any difference. Right now I have it hanging about 10” past the tailgate. Early testing (~100mi) seems to indicate a 15% improvement in efficiency. I need to nail down a consistent route to see and the temperature has been fluctuating too much to call it. (Ie, I saw as much as 30% but I think it was just warmer)

No just one module. But the entire pack is being replaced due to the situation. The pack was escalated for investigation.

Idk what that means but maybe @Ford Senior Master does?
Sounds like you were one of the harvest sources, congrat's on getting a fresh pack for your troubles!

So..the time has come. I’m going to be trading in the Lariat this week.

If anyone is in NJ/PA/MD/VA area, I’ve got a Ford retrax pro that I won’t get any trade credit for and won’t fit the next truck.

I’m not listing it for sale given the short timeframe. It’s available to anyone who’s participated in this thread prior to this post, we just need to pull it off the truck and onto yours before next Saturday which is probably logistically challenging.

I am reluctantly going back to a R1T…

For my use case, it doesn’t come close to meeting the Lightning. I commented this morning “at least the ventilated seats are better, some of the best I’ve sat in” and she goes “finally! A positive thing!”

Unfortunately the IIHS crash test rating of poor for the rear makes the Lightning no longer a viable vehicle for me. Hopefully Ford fixes it in 2026/2027 and I’ll be back.
