Try a DCFC session at Tesla or Electrify America.Yeah, I’m gonna reach out to Ford of Annapolis & see when they can fit me in.
Even DCFC failed so I think it might be something else other than the inverter. At this point if the truck isn't throwing DTC's (which any component faulting would throw a DTC) and the truck believes its charging, I am thinking the wiring harness is bad; there must be an open somewhere. If I still had my alldata access I would be researching wiring diagrams right now. OP, try looking for the wiring behind the charge port, I believe it runs down and forward a bit. If you can trace it, check the connection at the other end and shake the harness a bit.Something is wrong with the AC/DC inverter
I have AllData, I'll take a look tomorrow. Good thinking, I'll take the cover off & try to trace it after work tomorrow.Even DCFC failed so I think it might be something else other than the inverter. That's what's really bothering me. If there was at least at DTC that'd give me a starting point. Open circuits normally give DTCs as well, especially on newer vehicles.Odd you aren't getting some DTC though.
Drive it till it's down to 10%, then have it towed to the dealer. Use that warranty. That's what's really bothering me. If there was at least at DTC that'd give me a starting point. Open circuits normally give DTCs as well, especially on newer vehicles.
Well thankfully I have a work van, so I’m just gonna drop it off at Ford, & it better be under warranty lolDrive it till it's down to 10%, then have it towed to the dealer. Use that warranty.
I’ll be honest, never been good with these wiring diagrams.Even DCFC failed so I think it might be something else other than the inverter. When I had to take mine in to the dealer for the yellow wrench of death, they said it was ok to drive, but to bring it in with at least 50% charge. I'm not sure why that's important, but apparently at my dealership it is. YMMVDrive it till it's down to 10%, then have it towed to the dealer. Use that warranty.
Close to what the SOC of the replacement module SOC might be coming out of the factory, minimizes the time to balance the new module to the rest of the pack. When I had to take mine in to the dealer for the yellow wrench of death, they said it was ok to drive, but to bring it in with at least 50% charge. CallMaybe too much information, but I’ll have a quick synopsis in the beginning, then full details.
2023 Ford F-150 Lightning ER Lariat is not charging. Tried my Ford mobile charger on a 120V and is not charging. Tried 60KW Blink charger & also is not charging. Any & all help is appreciated greatly
Please see attached pics.
On 04/20 I charged my lightning to 100% for the first time (bought it used on 03/22/25 so it’s probably been to 100% before) on a 240 to check the range & to make sure there weren’t any bad battery modules preventing it from reaching 100%. Since then I haven’t charged it until last night.
I noticed when I went to bed, it was showing that it was charging, but no range had been added, & was not showing the amount of energy being added.
Woke this morning, checked it, and was showing the same thing.
disconnected the charger from the vehicle, & disconnected the charger from the outlet, and let sit for 10 minutes. Reconnected everything, and same result. Showing charge, but not actually charging.
Did some errands, then went to my local Blink fast charger, and attempted to charge there. Same result, did not charge there, so definitely not a charger issue.
Scanned the vehicle with my T10 scanner & there weren’t any DTC.
I’m wondering if there is a simple fix of this, if when it goes to 100%, I need to change any settings. Any thoughts?
I don’t see another thread like this, but if anyone has a link, I’d greatly appreciate it
