From everything I’m seeing, the pickup cabin looks a lot like the Mach E but chopped off just behind the rear seat. The cabin is then moved forward similar to the Cybertruck with a short boxy front and a 3-4 foot bed is in back. Might not be any longer than the Mach E and definitely shorter than the Maverick

No thanks. What’s the point of owning a truck that isn’t capable of being a truck. I doubt I will buy another Ford - certainly not as long as Floundering Farley is in charge.

Are they really going to call it a Ranchero? Was kind of expecting it to be a Ranger EV truck but I guess it’s more car like than I’d expected.

I want a smaller vehicle for sure. The problem is, the early stuff about the Ranchero makes it look like a PT Cruiser ate an El Camino.

I am convinced there are many really stupid, completely out of touch with their customers, and / or narcissistic people in CEO and senior marketing positions. Think about the number of your highly desired products (vehicles, food, electronics, cosmetics, etc.) that are frequently out of stock, and your favorite products that are discontinued or replaced with inferior products. They seem like interior designers and real estate agents who talk people into change for the sake of change. My "best worst" example is painting over a brick house.

I really like the idea of a Ranchero type approach, especially if it is sized right in between the maverick and the ranger.

For the most daily truck things, that size would work for me, plus it would be still small enough to be more of a commuter car. But if I needed the towing and hauling capacity of the F-150 I can go the Lightning approach and have a range extended ev, or hopefully a full BEV option by the time it comes to market.
