Thank you all for your contributions to this fix. I have ordered the Comma 3x after seeing Branden's YT video a few days ago and he mentioned this post as the fix for the errors. My Bluecruise Trial just ended 7/2 and honestly was not excited about purchasing it, because in a 23 mile commute to work on Toll road, it would switch back and forth 11 times each direction, hopefully this is an improvement.

That is music to my ears, because the road is not complicated. Its just a road that has 1 lane that changes directions in the morning vs evening. The truck flips out everytime im driving by one of the on/off merges for the center lane. I can be in the far right lane furthest from it and it would still drop bluecruise and yell to take over...

I recently bought my new to me 2022 Lariat ER coming from driving Tesla's since 2016. Just was ready for a change when my latest lease ran out. The newer Tesla's just don't have the reliability of the older models. My 2016 never had an issue in over 160k miles, new 2023 had 9 dealer visits in 2 year lease, 4 months of that without the car.

I see that the Comma 3x can double as Dashcam, that was another selling point for me as i wanted a dash cam. How usable is it or is it just a secondary use that doesn't get a lot of attention, because i can't find anyone reviewing the dashcam on the device.

The dashcam is decent, but the software isn't really refined to be used for that. There is a management site you can visit and click through the segments until you find what you are looking for, but don't expect it to log hard braking or collisions or anything.

Does this work with the '25? I've heard mixed reviews about encryption etc? I have a '25 Lariat and would love to add this.

I don't know if anyone has tried for sure yet. We suspect it won't work. But we need someone to test to be sure.

From what I have been reading, some of the early jobs are unencrypted. But it is a crap shoot so far.

It will be all or none. There will not be some 2025 that are encrypted and others that are not. We just need someone with a 2025 to hook up a comma and capture 30 seconds of data. If @mmarchand is close enough to current user, someone can put theirs in his truck to test. If not, then comma offers a 30 days moneyback policy, they can order one and test.

You're right, I went back and read the post I was referencing and it was for 2024's before we understood how to check for TRON.

Interested to see how this works out. Sounds like '25s aren't supposed based on your experience with the errors...

You'll get a bunch of errors on startup. Check this thread around page 22 or so. Need to add a resistor to the USB. Production of a "professional" solution is in progress from @UncleTony

Once you get that part done, then can test if the Comma works in the 25. Or you start up, wait for the errors to clear, and see if Comma can work correctly. If encryption is not an issue, after the errors finish, you can use the comma. If the errors don't stop, my guess is that's the encryption getting in the way.
