We did sell some docks with an integrated coupler, but we ran out of those. Most everyone has an external coupler.

IPMA --> Harness --> Harness box --> Long USB-C (ODB-C Cable) --> Coupler --> Short USB-C Cable --> C4 Dock --> C4.

I got everything installed but it's just sitting on the WIFi connected. Does this step take a while?

Which BP version are you using? With the earlier BP 3.0-BP 4.0 versions I would get occasional random radar errors that required a quick slide off the dock and back on to reset. With BP 5.0 and now on 6.0-beta, those errors all but disappeared. Are you getting the orange screen "take control immediately" error while driving, or the startup errors on the instrument panel of the Lightning?

Currently 5.0, and you're absolutely right and didn't think about the radar issues in 4.0. This occurs roughly every 2 weeks, and shows as either a harness relay malfunction or CAN something another error. Occurring in both 4.0 and 5.0.

it can take 2 -3 minutes depending on wifi speed. It's best to do that step inside on a phone charger

Okay, I took the unit inside and it's still sitting here at connected. It's been around 3 to 4 minutes and we have a pretty fast connection.

I feel like the couple of times I had an error like those come up while driving on 5.0 the Comma fixed itself quickly without any intervention.

Running 6.0-beta since yesterday and no errors of any type in that short time (not expecting any errors).

Like @EVO said above, maybe a loose USB or a loose pin in the Comma harness? I feel like there have been reports of both of those causing weird behaviors.

After you install bluepilot, go into the menu and find the SunnyLink pairing option. Once paired to Sunnylink, you can go in through the web browser and force it to recognize your truck in the "vehicle menu"

The documentation for this project sucks. I am banned from the official comma platforms for complaining about it.

I've done my best to make better documents for bluepilot, but i have a job, kids, and I try to keep the code up to date. There is only so much I can do. And no matter how many times ask, no one ever documents their journey for others. Once they get up and running they don't give flip about the next new guy.

if anyone wants to write up a how-to for newbies, I'll turn it into an article on bluepilot that can be linked to.
