When the subscription expires, it still has the turns and directions. What's lacking is any traffic or detours.Well, I still have 14 months left on my system. I use the Nav when I travel to appointments, let's me know how early I have to leave to get to appointments, and it's convenient to have the turns and directions right there on the infotainment screen and the dash.
thx.$80 per year. You can update with reward points from your FordPass account.
really! makes even $7/month seem expensiveWhen the subscription expires, it still has the turns and directions. What's lacking is any traffic or detours.
Case in point: The route of the road my camp is on in Maine was re-routed back when Eisenhower was President. Ford Nav does shows the old route. So when I drive (correctly) on the road, Ford Nav keeps telling me to turn into the woods to get on the old path.Just curious, what makes the Ford Navi system so bad compared to Apple Maps or CarPlay/Google maps? Routing or accuracy?
Gotcha. I’ve seen similar issues with every Navi/mapping system I’ve used. I don’t think any of them are perfect but it does seem that the Ford mapping is a bit more wonky. May have a lot to do with where you operate. The worst navigation I ever experienced was in San Francisco using the onboard navigation in a rental. Never seen anything so bad in my life.Case in point: The route of the road my camp is on in Maine was re-routed back when Eisenhower was President. Ford Nav does shows the old route.
