Well, I still have 14 months left on my system. I use the Nav when I travel to appointments, let's me know how early I have to leave to get to appointments, and it's convenient to have the turns and directions right there on the infotainment screen and the dash.
When the subscription expires, it still has the turns and directions. What's lacking is any traffic or detours.

Just curious, what makes the Ford Navi system so bad compared to Apple Maps or CarPlay/Google maps? Routing or accuracy?
Case in point: The route of the road my camp is on in Maine was re-routed back when Eisenhower was President. Ford Nav does shows the old route. So when I drive (correctly) on the road, Ford Nav keeps telling me to turn into the woods to get on the old path.

Gotcha. I’ve seen similar issues with every Navi/mapping system I’ve used. I don’t think any of them are perfect but it does seem that the Ford mapping is a bit more wonky. May have a lot to do with where you operate. The worst navigation I ever experienced was in San Francisco using the onboard navigation in a rental. Never seen anything so bad in my life.

ABRP does this. And if you add an Odx adapter it is even more accurate. I haven’t tried my odx yet myself tho. I am not affiliated with ABRP I just like the app.
Yes, but to use the adapter it's a subscription fee - $50/yr.. Less expensive sure. Maybe even a better route planner, but there's something to be said for the integrated Ford app.

FWIW, I did not renew/subscribe to either.

Gotta get you some off-road tires!

ABRP Premium you can turn on per month, which is a nice option instead of having to do a full year. I paid for it last month for extended drive I had, and then immediately turned the subscription off.

Never used the paid version of ABRP yet, and had no issues. 4+ years.

Really only need it if you want it on the center screen. Believe it will then integrate with the truck natively so you don't need the obd dongle.

Well, My connected navigation expired yesterday. I wonder what I will be missing since there's been no real updates on it since new?
Connected Navigation is constantly updated with new map data as well as new public charger data. Keeping that charger data up-to-date will help make sure that charging recommenations on road trips are accurate with the in-vehicle navigation, and that as new chargers are constantly added your road trips will include them automatically.

One note - there was a subtle change for 2024 model year. The feature changed from Connected Built-in Navigation to Connected Navigation (dropped the built-in).

The result is that for 2024+ models, when Connected Nav expires you get a moving map with NO navigation features. 2022 and 2023 still allow routing but no traffic updates or weather.

Documented in this post.

What all is lost without subscription? Does little things like speed limit sign go away? That's a cool feature I like having to see at any time what the limit is without looking around for posted signs.

Speed limit sign is still there. I can still use navigation, but have lost the ability for it to see chargers, or route to chargers. Basically It turns into a map for gasoline vehicles.
