Thank you. I was beginning to wonder if the firmware update might still be required.
As I remember, my passive approach lighting worked before I did the firmware update. Have you run the tests to see if the handles are working correct?

I just went by my local dealer at lunch and confirmed that the driver door wiring harness part # has switched to:
PL3Z-14631-G
https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/e...rs/wire-jumper-left-front-center-p-pl3z14631g

I also ordered my stock black ABS door handle so I can write a CNC program to route the lock button hole for a friend and others here if they want to exchange it for a core, that part # is:
ML3Z-1522405-AA
https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/body/doors/exterior-door-handle-left-front-p-ml3z1522405aa

The pre-primed replacement door handle that is needed for this project is still: ML3Z-1522405-DCPTM and includes the passive button/antenna module.

Does anyone have the dimensions of the opening for the passive entry button hole? I like your CNC solution as well, but I'm considering using an oblong punch/die set like this:

The hole is simple with these dimensions:

The key is the bevel on the back side. I was able to do it fairly easy with a die grinder, but this part is what seems to mess up most people:

Thanks so much for the detailed measurements. I'll report back if I'm able to make this work.

HUGE Thank you to @ZSC100 for installing this for me today. I was a little squeamish about doing this myself and boy was I right, it wouldve easily taken me 3x the time it took Zach. Great dude!

Life got super busy and this project was set aside. I finally picked it back up today.

I installed the wires from the salvaged harness that ZSC100 sent to connect the door handles.

I flashed the firmware using the beta software and the files linked by ZSC100 at the beginning of this thread. All went smoothly. Oddly enough, after the FW flash update, I had a slew of errors after the module updated and the truck wouldn't start even after resetting the BCM module. Ended up walking away for 30 minutes and the truck started back back up just fine when I came back to work on it. I suppose it just needed a little extra time for the FW update to take.

The driver side side door is working great. The passenger door is not yet working. Following the electrical diagrams at the first post, the GND wire (pin 7 on C611) for the passenger handle did not match what was installed in the vehicle. I however verified that the the vehicle side pin 8 at C611 was GND with a DMM so I placed it there. Not sure if there are any other wiring issues or whether it's a forscan programming issue as of yet. It started to rain pretty hard as I was wrapping up so I'll play with it some more when the rain goes away.

You are doing this just for the driver's side or trying to do it for both sides?

You can use the scope feature of FORScan to look at the two capacitive buttons in the handle. This will tell you if they are working correctly or not.

Yes I did it for both sides. The driver side is working. The passenger side is not. I tried the scope feature and the passenger side never shows a trigger for either lock or unlock so it's probably the pinout. I'll have to get back in there to verify 12V, GND, and the two differential antenna wires.

If in any doubt pull out the connector at the BdyCM, it is fairly easy to get to and you can probe the wires there for continuity all the way to the door handle. I did this very early on and hooked up a small LED to make sure signal was actually coming out of the BdyCM.

I ended doing continuity tests checks all the way back to the BCM and everything checked out. The BCM was simply not turning on the 12V to enable the handle. I went back through the forscan coding tables and realized I missed the entry for the passenger side door.

FR_CapSensor_CFG (FRCSC)
726-31-02 XXXX X1XX XX--

Added that and everthing works great now.

Thanks again ZSC100 for donating your old door harness cable! I was able to successfully salvage the pins and wires from the single door harness for both front doors. I just added the connector (from aliexpress) for the handles.

Here's the link to the connectors in case anyone else wants to try what I did.
