What if you could just develop a separate module that connects to the speaker leads that detects when a sound is input and causes it to output a sound programmed into it to the speaker? So basically when there's voltage or whatever coming from the truck module the new module is triggered to intercept and generate an output to the speaker. The truck module wouldn't have to be messed with, and the new module would emulate speaker feedback (resistance?) so the truck module thinks the speaker is working.

Don't throw tomatoes at me.... but I personally would probably just mimic the Tesla sounds (as that's what I am used to). (They are far less annoying).
I would find a way to compress an audio clip from Ludacris' "move b*tch..... get out the way" song, but I'm a little ratchet, so don't mind me. ?

Should all trucks have that pedestrian sound when driving at slow speeds. My 24 Lariat 100% does not and never did.

That is something I had thought about... And ordered this board to play with but this would also require the circuit to detect the audio. I do have a can bus sniffer, so detecting the play backup and play forward sound messages shouldn't be too hard.

I just want to be able to change the sounds from my phone. But I'll change the sounds in the chip as a proof of concept to make sure that method is doable before going further.
