Lightning Allocations Are Out!?

I just spoke with the Ford Lightning rep to switch my dealership and she mentioned that dealerships should know their allocations! She said she can’t see that info from her end, but that the dealerships should know.

That being said… please don’t bombard the dealerships with constant calls and multiple emails right now, or else it might drive more of them bananas and want to charge an ADM…

She also mentioned that the waves will be 1/5 and 1/19 and hypothesized that I would get an email on one of those days(5/19 reservation)

you’re not kidding. Mine’s already getting jealous (and vindictive), throwing ‘check engine lights’ and other automotive shenanigans; in her defense, she does have 147,000 miles.

They usually open on Monday. But the last F150 order bank opened on a Thursday for some reason.

Talked to my dealer last week, they are one of the larger dealers in Minneapolis and their allocation for 2022 is 3. The largest dealer got an allocation of 5 in Minnesota. My dealer has over 200 reservations awaiting. I’ve been told I’m one of the three and I received the email way earlier last week about 3pm than most. I reserved in the first hour.

Did they say if those are their allocations for the first wave only?

Same here..
I went to my dealer two weeks ago to inquire and they did't know anything. They haven't even contacted me once so far.
The customer invitation list should have been submitted to Ford by now and I should be on that list if Ford is playing fair with their customers.

They can also prioritize an amount of them and from what I understand those already had to be done. I thought I saw in another post on lightning owners that the deadline was dec 17th? That could also be BS but, I would think if you were getting a call you would have gotten it by now, dealers should have all their ordering info.

Did your dealer specifically say that you were getting an invitation to order in the first wave? I wonder if they found out their allocations but don't have the names of customers that are getting first wave invites yet.

As of Dec 16th, mine didn't know their specific allocation number but they were hopeful they'd have a good number based on sales volume, and how many mach e's they'd gotten compared to other area dealers. I haven't bugged them or heard from them since.

Dealers don’t know who is getting an invitation for the first wave yet. Ford will decide who gets an invitation based on time stamp, dealer priority (closed on the 17th of Dec), and dealer allocation. From ford’s internal dealer memo, Ford will send dealers a list of their reservation holders invited for the first wave directly prior to the invitations going out. If a dealer tells someone they are in the first wave, it is just a guess.
