For anyone that has the beta forscan and wants to compare. Below is what mine shows with an updated BCM.

I've never used FORSCAN to update a module before.

I have the files for the OBCC that doesn't program due to a comms issue......how would I update that OBCC using FORSCAN instead of FDRS?

I think you need the beta version to do updates, from what I've read before ...but that's all I know.

EDIT: After a brief search I've found the beta forum and downloaded the latest...and am now reading through the process described on that site.

Oh, and for anybody that also owns a Mach-E it appears that this morning those exact same OBCC update files are now available for that vehicle as well. I wonder if it's gonna give me a comms problem when trying to update that one as well?

I'm thinkin' others are gonna have issues with that OBCC update...post back here if you do...or if it went through for you, either way.
I logged in today and that was the only update waiting. I got the same errors/issues.

I had the same issue last night with the OBCC update.

The tricky part is knowing where the files go. In the case of the OBCC, it may be much easier than the BCM since I doubt it has so many config files. Plug in with beta and post a screenshot of what the programming page looks like. If the OBCC is just one of each (one strat, one config and/or calibration file, then it will be easy.

I would recommend you PMI the OBCC as it is and keep those files handy in case you need to revert back after you flash the new files.

I looked but didn't see a specific entry for OBCC in forscan. Or maybe I'm going blind which is possible too

ECU Configuration, Secondary Bootloader, and Strategy. To isolate them so as not to get confused, I deleted everything in each FDRS vehicle software folder...and then re-downloaded and hit "run" to get just the files I was interested in, and nothing else. Makes figuring out which files are needed easier.

And I have it on good authority that this problem is being worked this morning...and it does apply to both the versions sent to the Lightning and the Mach-E.

Pls keep us in the loop. I only have a 2 day FDRS sub and if they get it fixed before expiry I will load it.

Thx,
Mike

In that case, it would be easy. FORScan will only show the file that goes in each location, so you can't make a mistake. I doubt you stand to gain anything from updating that module that warrants the side-load process, though.

If you’ve been following this I can tell you that the OBCC update now works as intended. I just finished updating my truck and will do my MME shortly.

...ummm or anywhere really...would be good.
I had not had a OTA since I was at ford dealer in APR. I called ford. They told me my modem was not working correctly. They acted like they tried to ping it. I am/was 2 updates behind. One is WAL. I am not sure what is wrong with modem. I can always link to truck with app. The wifi link seems like it finds my home WIFI and connects. Any thoughts before I go to dealer tomorrow and roll the dice?

Unplug the modem and re-plug it after 20 seconds. This pretty much resets it.

The modem is behind the rear seats on the wall, right about where the 60/40 seat break is. Just pull off the felt wall lining by pulling out the one or two press-in trim plugs straight out with a trim tool. The modem is the smallish horizontal module with some vehicle network cables and the power line. It's all unpluggable by hand.
